WCR: another long night of testing and feeding MC and HC last night. She continues to drop even after licking a bowl of HC gravy. It's very frustrating when she does that. At that point it does not feel as though we are in charge of her numbers. Then in the morning we end up with this stupid amps! Plus she can't hold this (S)1.5 until we decide to bump her up then she throws out the 41's and we know if we take her up she's going to dive down again. What to do .... what to do .....

Whatever you're doing, you're doing the right thing. Look at how much less Mocha's insulin needs are now vs. last February. What that suggests, to me at least, is Mocha's pancreas is working. It may be sputtering but she's doing some of this on her own.

Well, I agree with Sienne...she is looking good to us....sorry you are so frustrated. Seems that the word for this week is "frustrated". I guess it is catching, isn't it? Hope you have a good day in spite of the pink...

I feel your frustration, Tray is right there with Mocha on the trampolene. Hope they both come down.

I agree with everyone too. She's come so far. It is hard though when one dose seems to be too much, the other not enough. we just keep plugging along and deal with the cards they give us. She's doing well. I bet the pink this morning doesn't last long. You are doing well with her. Down you go Mocha!

I feel your pain too!!! It's crazy when you get a run of great numbers and then BOOM, back up they go! So frustrating, but just gotta keep plugging along....Hopefully Mocha comes down soon!

Those pinks are frustrating for sure, but you are doing a good job! Tinkles is up there with mocha today, hopefully they will both find their way down to better numbers later on.

thanks everyone ... we are happy with the progress mocha has made from earlier in the year ... it is just frustrating that we don't have a handle on her diabetes yet ...

((((((((((Devon)))))))))) Frustration is natural and you are getting a handle on her FD. Step back from the day to day. Look at all the greens lately. Sometimes we get tunnel vision. How much food manipulation do you do?

No wise words from me, either, Devon. Just wanted to check in and say hi, and say that Mocha's progress has been very good. You've had some really good numbers. So keep on truckin'!!

well that was a nice 100 point drop in three hours .. feeding MC to hopefully slow her drop .. we'll either manage to slow it down or keep her forever on a food spike!
