Yesterday - Exciting lagoon visit - active cycles!

Luci decided to make a run for the lagoon yesterday and surfed quite well for the most part - she was a bit wobbly at first and fell off the board initially - but got back up with the help of a little HC food.:D And I think she was making a run for it again last night - DH caught her and steered her away from the lagoon. Luci might be on the verge of a reducie - one more time under 50 and she'll get it.

Happy Friday everyone here on L&L. May your words be kind and your day be filled with peace, joy and love.
Vines and prayers to all of those in need.:bighug::bighug::bighug:

Love your quote! I copied it & taped it above my computer. :)

Hope Lucy continues to do well & you both have a wonderful day!:joyful: :bighug:

I'm glad - seems like these are difficult times for many people and they say things - let's just say in a harsh manner(?)...sometimes feelings are hurt...so I just thought about putting that out there this morning - for people to consider - perhaps - before typing/speaking to others - perhaps to help them take a second, pause and think how that person would feel after those harsh words escape... I'm glad you liked it...seems like we could use more of that these days, huh?

I hope your Raven is having a good day as well :)

Up/down, up/down...wow! And here are a few pics of the last of our dahlias - we picked a lot of them this afternoon because of a frost advisory tonight :(

These are gorgeous! I'm a sucker for the classic solids, but your more exotic 1/2 and ombre are stunning!
I just got in from covering my window boxes and patio container again today. They were covered yesterday and did well, so I'll do it again with low temps expected tonight. My flowers are nothing like this, but I did splurge and add nice accent plants, so I want to keep them as long as I can.

What a great cycle for after her lagoon visit!

Love your dahlias! They are my favorite! This year, only one of the tubers that we planted came up. It was a deep purple one. My favorite is the black dahlia! Do you use previous year tubers or start new?

ETA: And yes, kind words, good reminder. It is hard when the words are written as the inflection in a voice if not present and it is easy to misinterpret someone's intention. So, we all need to remember to check our tone and be loving. :bighug:

These are all from previous years - we used to order a few new ones but haven't lately. Just dig the tubers in the Fall and store in our greenhouse floor - replanted this past Spring. I think it's time for some new stock though-we're getting a lot of the same ones - those are the strongest ones that survive winter the best. Glad you enjoyed! And yes, Luci has been having a good time in the lagoon lately :)

I added a ETA to my post simultaneously with your post.
