10/12 Grandpa - Rough day

[Beck and Philly]

Grandpa's sides were bulging the past few days so I took him to the vet. She drained two big syringes of bloody fluid from him. It was full of neutrophils. Peritonitis. The tumor has also grown more.

We're treating with Baytril and Convenia, but short of a miracle, she said the end will be soon.

With Trixie still not eating, this hit me like a ton of bricks.

With Trixie still not eating

I had a pup that wouldn't eat after some tummy upset. After day 7, I took a breast of chicken, cut if in chunks and boiled it on a slow boil very ever until it smelled the house up. She start eating. Plus she had some treats to eat.

Have you tried slippery elm bark for Trixie? Maybe bone broth?

Trixie ate about 1/3 of a big can of her own food, so we are celebrating a bit, too.

After two nights of emergency vets, watching Trixie, etc, all I wanted tonight was sleep. So of course Grandpa picks tonight for a dip.
