Yesterday's Condo

Another nice, relaxed day for Cinco. I'm not sure what's up with that +5.5, but I'm not going to stress it.

DH went in to Sac to do some consulting work, but when he gets home I want him to help me get the bandage off Cinco's leg and wash it really well. I followed Chris's advice and started him on Benadryl last night, so I'm hoping it will help alleviate the itching or whatever is making him lick the heck out of it. I went back and read through a bunch of my condos after his first surgery, and it looks like it took longer than I remembered to resolve the problem. It ended suddenly - he went to the vet for boarding with the bandage on and came home without it and had no more problems. Well, that was helpful - not!

Sasha ate about half her breakfast this morning. I am about to go up and see if she ate any more after I left the plate near her. Sometimes she does, and sometimes she doesn't . I think I will send her oncologist an e-mail and ask about the appetite stimulant. Maybe I can pick it up tomorrow.

Hope everyone is having a lovely Sunday.

Sending healing vines to all in need and hugs to all their beans. :YMHUG: Prayers going out to Amy's DF, Lyresa's DF and DH, Elise's DM and Lisa's DF.

I hope washing Cinco's leg helps with the licking problem. A nice, relaxing surf is good for the bean too. I hope Sasha ate more for you.

I swear, between Cinco, Skooter and China, sometimes I wonder why the three of us aren't in the loony bin.....Or are we??....LOL

Gotta love these crazy numbers that don't follow any known pattern, don't you?? (like we have a choice in the matter)

Hope the Benadryl plus the good washing gets whatever is bugging him fixed so he'll quit chewing on the leg and can lose the cone for good!

I hope the Benedryl helped with Cinco's leg, and that Sasha's appy is picking up for you. Have a great night, Tricia!

Re: 10/12 Cinco PMPS 145

Thanks for visiting, Carla, Chris, Amy and Elise.

Cinco had another double dip today - not sure how low he went the second time, but he was the same at PMPS as he was at +8, so I suspect he was lower in between. Now we see what he has in store for us tonight. I am afraid he may have revenge on his mind. The leg washing did not go well. I didn't realize it was at all wet when I bandaged it, and the gauze sleeve I put under the tape was stuck to his leg! :o We had to soak it for quite a while in warm water, and even then I had to really tug to get it off - in the end, he did the tugging, trying to get the leg away! Even using the cat sack, it was quite a struggle. I could never have done it without Mark. I think I got it washed off pretty well, but it does still look raw. I dried it some with a towel, but he was so done with all of that that we just let him out of the sack to go sulk. After wandering in circles for a few minutes, he settled in his favorite spot, and then I made an unsettling discovery: EVEN WITH THE COLLAR ON, HE CAN REACH HIS LOWER LEG!! :o  :o Swell! He started licking it and I told him firmly to stop, so he did! About ten minutes later he tried again. I again told him to stop, and again, he did! We can't do this all night, so I'm just hoping to get him to leave it alone long enough for it to dry so I can put a non-stick pad on it and wrap it back up! Shesh!!

I keep forgetting to mention that they did a six month recheck for Bartonella at his last OV appointment, and the results were negative!! :-D :-D :-D Now we're just waiting for the biopsy on his eye to come back.

Sasha finished of the rest of her breakfast for me at lunch time, and she ate about half her dinner, with much prompting. I'll work on the other half in a little while. I'm going to weigh her tomorrow to make sure she isn't losing weight. It's so hard to know if I'm getting enough into her or not - especially since she does graze on the TD.

Chris, I love your sign!!   Where did you get it??? So appropriate for the way we've been feeling lately!

I'm going to try to read some condos before I have to get working on dinner - not much to do tonight - the potatoes are already in the oven, so I just have to make the salad and reheat the ribs. No joy on corn. It may be done for the year.

Re: 10/12 Cinco PMPS 145

I just read your condo from yesterday, and omg, Cinco and Sasha are so adorable!! I can't get over Sasha in her hoodie!! She really looks great - healthy, happy, and very fashionable in her fall wardrobe. I hope the Benadryl helps Cinco - sending lots of anti-itching vines.
