Good Morning LL
All is fine in Checkerboy's life. Ate 2 installments of breffis. Checked screenporch for whatever he checks for. Something interesting was out there last nite....probably a mouse.
His little brother figured out that when Check gets tested, he gets treats, and waits & watches for Checks to run into kitchen afterwards. No fair... Clancy doesn't have to get ear poked for treat. :lol:
Hope Checks lets me make a run to Wal-Mart for strips.

Oh Checkers, could you not have waited for me to get out of this room to use LB? OYYYYYYY!!!

The civvies here have learned that Mannie gets treats and food more often than they do - now they show too whenever it is test time, or they see Mannie head into the kitchen. heaven help me when I don't fork something over to the other two. Such a pained why not me look on their faces... :roll:

Checkers is looking good, nice drop but not a huge plunge! That's much better, hope he keeps coming down slowly for you today!

I went to Walmart last night for strips, had to ask at the pharmacy because none were on the shelf.....again. This is becoming a very common thing, I complained to the pharmacist because what would happen if I went during the hours when the pharmacy is closed?? I'd have no strips, that's what would happen! Others have commented on the same issue, have you had that problem?

I used to have a problem with my local Walmart. I had to ask at the desk since none were in the display case. they sometimes had a box or two behind the counter. That was months ago. NOW, there is always a good supply in the display case. I personally believe that it is due to my run on the boxes!!! I usually by two at a time now, just in case. Supply and demand folks! :lol:

Pat, just 2 boxes? Since I have to order ours from Hocks I'd usually get 6 to get free shipping and reorder when I was down to 2. Now that you mention it though, when I checked at CVS they just have tickets for the boxes of strips that you have to take to the counter, I never thought about what happens if you need them after the pharmacy closes! I never thought about it because they don't carry our strips, I keep hoping though.

Checkers got a slight decrease, not on purpose, this morning. Was screwing out a bit and did a micro over, so left it that way. Not sure if that's why he is surfing blue so far. Not that I'm complaining...blue is nice. He didn't snack at +3...slept thru the test. It's a cold dreary day, don't blame him.

Hmm, I never thought of what would happen if the pharmacy was closed, and display was empty. I haven't gotten out yet, so won't bother today. It's an hour away.
Going to local pharmacy to see if there is any meter with inexpensive strips. Small town is limited in such things.
We do however, have 3 dollar stores. What does that tell you about my area? :lol:

HI Barb, I have bought strips for the Walmart Relion Ultima meter on Walmart's website. They arrive quickly and the postage is very reasonable (about $2.50 when I ordered 3 boxes at a time). They might also sell the strips for their other meters online. You should check it out.
I am so pleased to see Checkers surfing blue today. Way to go, Checks!
We had beautiful weather up here today, but we'll be getting yours soon, no doubt!!
Edward and I are OK, but we sure do miss Stu.
I'll be checking in on you and Checkers often. Keep up the good work!

Omigosh, I'm so excited. We got a blue pmps. We always get ugly pink!
I saved strips and his ears today, 'cause he was still blue by +6. I'm not unhappy abou a blue surf, so decided to keep the dose shaved and see what happens.

Ella, thank you for checking our condo. That made me smile really really big. I know you miss Stu. I think of him daily, I miss his condo.

So Checkers stuck his head in Gabby's condo and got a sniff of the HC? Good job with testing. Lather, rinse and repeat. It's early in the cycle so keep the HC handy.
