Miss P went to vets, she behaved very well and....drum roll please she gained a little over a pound!!!!! She was 11.1 last time and at 12.5 this week!!! That was 2 weeks ago. We are so hopeful. Now just wait for the bloodwork. Vet should call by closing today at 6. She's a fighter my girl. Head bumps and scitches to all. Prayers going out for @Tracey&Jones @Ana & Frosty and @Amanda & Shmee .

So Happy to hear Good news about Phoebes!
I have a question about Levemir. I see Miss P is High usage but Ravan is only using .75 units. If he stays low, this pen will last about 6 months. Is it OK to use the Levemir till the pen is empty?
(with lantus Ravan was using 2 X as much so the pen lasted about 3 months)

Yes you should be able to use as long as it's in the refrigerator and what is the exp date?

Vet called left message soooo, her wbc and lymphocytes are back to normal ish range!!! But her RBC is 23. So she's putting her on pepcid ac x2 a day( just in case her tummy or digestive track is causing the low RBC from micro bleeding because of the steroid?) and some kind of oral iron peptinic? Spelling ?? For the anemia. Anyone? I hate when I miss the call because I don't get to ask my million questions. We are discontinuing the EOD chrombucil for 10 days then we start the pulsed doseage. We go back in 10-14 days for another cbc to check on the anemia. I can't tell you how happy we are from this update. I know the anemia is an issue, but for her wbc to be down to 18.3 from 24 is awesome. Thank you for all your vines and prayers we are still not out of woods yet, but we are much better off than we were yesterday.
