First dose of AB given last night.

TGIF! Boy am I tired today. I will run to Walmart tonight and see if they have Florastor and if not, swing by CVS. Really hoping his Gaba comes in today.

For those that give the transdermal on the ears - how do you still test? Just use the opposite ear for 24 hours and then switch? I alternate ears when testing so that is going to take some getting use to. I also use a warm, damp cloth so will really have to try and not mess with the ear with the Gaba I guess. Going to be hard to remember.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day! :bighug:

Nice start for Gizmo. I'm glad the vet gave you the AB. I hope it clears things up. Do you have Kroger grocery stores in Texas? I've found Florastor there before.

Looking like a nice cycle for Gizmo.

You can get the Equate version of S. Boularrdii at Walmart which might be cheaper than the Florastor . Also , it is without lactose for those sensitive to it.

Worried it might not be taste -free. Probably get the real thing. In the big picture - cost is the least of my worries right now. Not that I wouldn't/won't use generic but not willing to risk it in this situation I don't think.

He has eaten all his AM food so far! YAY!

He ate all of his PS meal in one sitting!! :eek::eek::woot::woot: And I caught him jumping - from the floor to the back of a recliner in one jump on the Gizmocam today! Much more active. Ate all of his AM cycle food.

Maybe? Just maybe - he has turned a corner??

I learn so many good things following your threads !!
Ummm. Thanks. I think :joyful::joyful::joyful::D:D:D - lol.

When I talked with the vet yesterday and told her that if he didn't start turning around soon that I feared we were nearing the end. She said - oh, not yet, give him through the weekend. He continues to surprise us all and has rebounded many times before. She said - if it hadn't been for your love and care and search for knowledge he would have been gone 3 years ago. She said - I'm not giving up, don't you! Made me feel so good and I am so happy Gizmo is proving her right!

I so agree with your vet! I have found myself thinking the same about Forrest and whether it was his time. One day, I had such clarity on it. As long as he still has good days, he isn't ready. And so far, his good days are much more than his bad days. And here's to the same for Gizmo! :bighug:
