Everything is good this morning. Simon likes the cooler weather and is running around, jumping on the walls, and chasing poor little Cleo. Yesterday, I finally talked with Simon's vet. He says that his blood work looks pretty good except for the higher amylase, but he isn't overly concerned. He thinks it might be a good idea to start giving him some ondansetron. Simon already gets pepcid but he still has some vomiting issues, so we'll see if that helps. I asked him about an ultrasound because I just have this "feeling" that there is something going on with his abdomen/chest. The vet said that he always listens to owners when they say they have a feeling about something because they know their cat best. I think I will schedule one soon (when I can figure out how I am going to pay for it!).
Simon's vet also apologized for the other vet in the office calling me to tell me about Simon's urinalysis results without looking at Simon's chart. She acted like she was giving me some new information concerning Simon and diabetes. Simon's vet said this happened a few times while he was gone and the other vets in the office don't fully understand how "informed" some of his cat owners are, like me
. Anyway, I am glad the regular vet is back!
sorry this is so long! Have a great 10/11/12 day!
