Didn't get to post yesterday but Simon has been surfing in the greens and low blues for the last couple of days. The only higher number is the AMPS, as usual. I'm still switching times around at night and also adding an extra mini-meal to see if it brings his AMPS down in the morning. He is is usual happy self although he does not like the dasuquin I am giving him. It is helping his legs so I will continue with it.

My DH went up into the attic to try to find out where the squirrel is coming into the house and actually came face to face with the thing. We bought a cage and are trying to capture it and will release it somewhere else. Hopefully, we won't keep having this problem although Simon and Cleo love hearing the noises in the attic.

Happy Tuesday!

Re: 10/11 Simon AMPS 128

Good morning Georgia,

Beautful numbers for Simon, as usual.

You're going to cancel the kitty entertainment show? Oh well Simon and Cleo, maybe something else exciting will come along!

Re: 10/11 Simon AMPS 128

Nice AMPS and cycles for Simon lately!

Good luck with the squirrel...gotta figure out where he's getting in, and they can fit through some teeny tiny holes. We went through something like that with mice a few years ago. Hubby spent every weekend trying to figure out where they were getting in...it was a hole that was about 1/4" in diameter under the front porch! Amazing how those rodents can squish up their little bodies! FYI, kitties where never allowed in the basement where the mice were, and we also used a cage trap and took them outside. They figured the trap out, though, and learned how to steal the peanut without setting off the trap! We had to start "gluing" the nut down with peanut butter. Mice are very smart and skilled little critters. One even stole the nut, tripped the trap, and did not get caught...I think that one was figuratively giving us the bird  !

 too funny. our tree guys told me to stop feeding the squirrels because they are killing our oak trees. they eat the bark and the limbs die.

good luck catching your squirrel. and so nice to see simon doing well. that's a pretty nice amps, even if it seems high to you!

No luck so far with the squirrel catching. In fact, it sounds like the squirrel invited his friends over today. So much scampering going -- kitty entertainment is still on! Karrie and Celi, loved the pictures. Amy, too funny about your mouse problem. I hope squirrels are not as intelligent as mice...we'll never have any quiet around here if they figure out how to take the bait and still manage to get out of the cage.

Simon is having a good day!

I don't know what kind of trap it is. My DH bought it at Home Depot and I can't find the packaging it was in. I'll have to try some pecans because the peanut butter on the pine cone and cereal aren't working. I don't know why the instructions said to put cereal in the trap!

Are the squirrels snagging the treats and not tripping the trap? Or are they just ignoring the treats and trap all together? If they're stealing treats and not tripping it, you may need to adjust it so that it takes less force/less weight to trip it. We had to do that with Trixie. When she showed up on our back porch, she was too scared to let us near her, so we ultimately had to use a hav-a-heart to get her. We put some nice, stinky FF in there, and in she walked. We looked out and she was happily munching away, yet the door didn't close on her! Turned out she was too light to trip it...my husband fiddled with it a bit so that it barely took a gentle breeze to trip it, and the next time around we managed to get her...

Hi Georgia, I'm cracking up at the pics. I hope you can catch Mr. Squirrel and release. Thanks for stopping by Maggie's condo. Nice cycle for Simon and good luck with the changing the mini meal times.

Simon's numbers are looking fantastic. I'll take your idea of high anytime!!!!

Good luck with the squirrel capture!!!
