Good Morning, Everyone,

I thought that Rusty was getting back to normal last night, but it seems he didn't want to cooperate. Maybe this is NDW since I took his dose up a notch yesterday, or maybe he ate most of his nighttime food close to AMPS. Whatever. We'll see what he does today and tomorrow, and if there is no progress, he'll get another dosecrease on Sunday. Rusty had a good night and a good morning routine. He's asleep in his little bed next to the radiator. It's a chilly morning (35 degrees) and looks like another nice day.

Wishing everyone a fine day and a good holiday weekend (Canada Thanksgiving; US Columbus Day). My sister will be visiting us this weekend (arriving tomorrow). This is our paddle group's last "official" paddle of the season and we always have a picnic on the Bog River Flow on Columbus Day. The good weather is expected to continue through Monday, so we're keeping fingers crossed.

Come on down Rusty. Whatever the reason, I'm sure he will be swimming in the lagoon soon in Rusty fashion. Sounds like a fun weekend for you. Have a great visit with your sister and a wonderful paddle!

Morning Ella ~O) ~O) ~O)

Rusty, DUDE! What are you doing way up there? Come on down,'K? I will hope you see better numbers today, more Rusty-like numbers. Perhaps it is just NDW. Where is that crystal ball?

Brrrr on the temps, but it sounds like a nice fall day there.

I so remember your last official paddle of the season. cool! I always liked the picnic part. Enjoy your time with your sister. Sounds great!

Have a good one today too. :-D

Hi Ella. Hope Rusty reads his condo and heeds your warning to avoid another increase. Glad he is feeling good.

Have a great weekend visiting with your sister and enjoying your final season paddle.

Re: 10/11 Rusty AMPS 286

Hi, Ella, it sounds like you have a fun weekend planned!
Rusty has the right idea: sleeping next to the radiator.
I hope he comes down for you today.
Have a great day!

Re: 10/11 Rusty AMPS 286

Hi Ella........have a wonderful weekend, with your sister, nice paddle and picnic, and most of all, Rusty staying in nice low, but not all-day, ear pricking, low.

Hmmm, could I get any more commas in there? *grin*

Hi again,
Yup, end of the "official" paddling season, but most of our group "unofficially" paddles into mid November (sometimes breaking skim ice). :-D

Rusty is a flat cat today--high yellow. Hopefully this signals that he will come down now to better numbers. At the +5 test I first got 316 (!) and noticed that the low-battery sign was displayed on the meter, so I replaced the battery and got 286. I wonder if recent bg numbers have been influenced by the low battery? So I tested myself on 3 of my meters and all were close to each other, so I guess Rusty's main meter is OK.

Today was a beautiful, Indian Summer day. Rusty enjoyed sitting on the front steps with us for quite a while this afternoon, soaking up the sun.

TGIF, everyone. Enjoy the holiday weekend. Continuing to send healing vines to all who need them,

Ella & Rusty

This sounds like a lovely weekend ahead, and I'm sure that Rusty will get himself in order.
Have a fantastic paddle!

Hi again,
Thank you all for visiting us. Rusty is coming down tonight; we'll see where he is in the morning. This has been a busy day getting ready for our weekend with my sister. We want to take her to walk on the trails in the VIC (Visitors' Interpretative Center) tomorrow afternoon, maybe stopping at Lake Clear to see if the adult loons are "rafting", getting ready to migrate to the ocean. Then we want to do a leisurely paddle on Sunday afternoon. Then Monday is the paddle and picnic on the Bog River Flow. Now they are predicting rain for Sunday night. Fingers crossed it doesn't linger into Monday (although in the past we have done this paddle/picnic in heavy rain).

Everyone have a good evening and a great holiday weekend,

Ella & Rusty

Rusty - grab the ropes. Your presence is requested in the lagoon. ~Neko

Sounds like a nice day for the "last" paddle but good to hear there are more in the works. ;-) As long as it's safe - keep on paddling!

Enjoy the visit with your sister.
