Gaaaaah, stupid bounces  The last few days Papaya has given me a green AMPS (woohoo) which then shoots way up (booooo). Then PMPS is stinky pinky, which sliiiiiides all the way down to green for the next AMPS, and . . . boing.

I set my alarm to wake up and get a +8 last night since it seems she's going low very late in the cycle. Papaya was all squinty-eyed and "why are you turning on the light in the middle of the night, crazy lady?" She was down to 73 (after a PMPS of 362 and a +5 of 116). I had fed her half a tablespoon at +5 and did the same thing when I got the 73 since it was likely going to keep sliding right to AMPS. She may have thought it was a weird time for a snack but gobbled it down anyway - no appetite problems with Papaya!

So today when I got the AMPS of 288 I thought oh, good, maybe problem solved with that late test and feeding, she will have a normal AM cycle where she actually goes down instead of up. Nope. Way up there again and clearly feeling lousy.

I know what she`s doing, but don`t know how to stop it. Overall, she at least hasn't hit black and is getting lots of blue and green, but these inverted AM cycles are annoying!

Enjoy the long weekend, fellow Canucks!

Bounces are annoying. Every time I think Furball has settled down, she bounces big again. I hope Papaya will give you flatter numbers tomorrow. Have a great Thanksgiving weekend.

She seems like she wants to be green, though. She keeps heading down.
Wishing you a great start to the Thanksgiving weekend!

I hear you on the daytime bounces - they are SOOOO annoying. I keep wondering what I missed while I slept. Do you ever look at your two week average on the meter? I sometimes look at it to get a general idea if Neko is overall getting a lower average, which I hope means improvement.

Hope you have a good Thanksgiving weekend!

Re: 10/11 Papaya AMPS=288 +4=478 PMPS=313 +3=226 +6=38

Thanks Carla, Lara and Wendy.

Lara - she wants to be green, all right!!! Papaya decided she would put some lows where I can find them. She seemed a bit restless, sat up beside me on the couch, so I just fed her a bit and was going to save testing for later given her late-cycle lows lately. But she gobbled the food and meowed for more (which is not usual) so I tested and got --WHOA-- a 38. I gave her some HC and now she's all purry.

That is three separate days below 50 plus of course this time is actually below 40 so would be a decrease anyways. Maybe dropping back to 1.0 unit will get rid of some of this weirdness  but I think I will have a you-know-what to shoot through in the morning.

Wendy - 14 day average is 236, but I always figure that is pretty useless since when Papaya is really low I test more frequently, and when she's high I test less, so it's no where near a true average. But hey at least the average isn't 600 . . .

+7 of 76 wasn't up as much as I expected after the 38 at +6 and the HC. I thought she'd be shooting up into a bounce already, at least into mid-blues after hitting that low an hour ago. 76 an hour after a tablespoon of 18% carbs (plus the 1/2 tablespoon of regular LC I gave before I realized she needed the HC!) makes me wonder if this is a cycle where she has not finished going down yet. She expected food (sat up and looked around for it) after the +7 test so I gave another 1/2 Tbsp of her regular LC (9%). I am not entirely sure if I can go to bed get. Oh, sleep . . .

:o :o :o :o
What a dive!!! Yo-yo-girl!!!
No wonder you feel the need to get up sooo early, to be home longer after her morning shot.
You are such a great momma, Amy. Papaya is a lucky girl.
I have a lot of respect for the beans who's kitties do yo-yo.
