Well I wish we had seen blues but instead Owen is into lime green! We are feeding HC and will probably be dealing with a bounce for several daysShould see blue next test if his pattern continues.
Kris will test again in an hour
She needs to test in 20-30 minutes and then even if up again in 20-30. He needs to be 2 hours without hc and above 50 to be able to stop testing.Well I wish we had seen blues but instead Owen is into lime green! Waiting until +4 to test was not a good idea.
He needs to spend as much time as possible in blue and green to prevent bouncing and allow for the pancreas to heal.
Okay we are at 61. This is on MC as Owen decided he doesn’t want any more gravy lovers. When should we test again? You could try mc now. If you gave hc it’s fine but I need to know what was fed to help.
I have done this but it wouldn’t hurt for us to review it together. We are now at 66. I was reading your post re: Jasper (sorry we are keeping you busy today). Should we keep feeding mc and testing every 30 until we get above 70? Or what so you suggest at this point?Kyle. I would print out for the cg how to handle low numbers and the part on the basics sticky that shows an active cycle. Cats often respond to the second or third dose after an increase but it can happen on the first cycle or 6th or later. Every cat is different.
Thank you for your help. I think we will switch to lc and see if he stays flat for the next 2 hours. She’s using a pet meter so her number is around 70. With a human meter reductions are under 50. If Owen stays fkat 2 hours without hc or mc and in 60’s or higher he’s ok.
Oh okay great! Kris will be relievedTake a break until pmps.
Hi Elise says she's using a human meter Relion PrimeShe’s using a pet meter so her number is around 70. With a human meter reductions are under 50. If Owen stays fkat 2 hours without hc or mc and in 60’s or higher he’s ok.

That’s why for Owen it’s 50 and for Jasper it’s 68.
Oops sorry Elise I didn't realize you were talking about Jasper ,my badThat’s why for Owen it’s 50 and for Jasper it’s 68.

Yes I am guessing we will be dealing with some highs for a few days. I was thinking mc down the road if we start seeing lower pre shot numbers. I guess we will just take it as it comes. We will try to get more +2 s from now on.I’d see the pmps. If high feed lc and get a +2.
