Happy Caturday!! Happy Thanksgiving to our dear Canadian friends. We hope you all enjoy your holiday. Our prayers and love continue for Anne and Liz and healing vines to all who need them.
Gracie is such a little trooper. I can say I am glad yesterday and last night are behind us because they were not some of "our" best cycles. But even after the pukus yesterday from the raw food, she was happy and playful. She slept next to me last night and then this morning absolutely required a btb for me. My head had no longer hit the pillow until I felt her jump up on me. She was kneading up a storm and purring away and then she got on Mike's pillow and went to sleep. When the alarm went off just before +2, she stretched, yawned, purred and I gave her back scratches. She gave me a sweet little kiss. Of course, Tobey, Mr. nonstop talker was just meowing up a storm intermingled with his gigantic purr.
I thought yesterday turned out pretty good considering how crummy it started and when I went to bed at +5, I thought she would surf as she usually does ....normally if she is going to come down, she does it by +5 but she was up so I gave her three hours. I was surprised at the 66 so I gave her some HC and when I retested in 30 mins and got the 24, I was shocked. She has never ever dropped that much in 30 minutes at +8 at night. Ever. I should have retested but I was bleary eyed and just wanted her out of the 20s immediately. But after my head cleared and she'd been fed and started up, the thought occurred to me that the 24 just didn't "fit". Especially because she never rises that high that fast with karo. By the time I got the food/karo and she ate and then I tested again, it had only been 15 minutes and she went from 24 to 110? I doubt it....I've given her that much karo before and normally she'd be in the 40s. So I have to wonder if the 24 was inaccurate. At any rate, better safe so I reduced her this morning. I can always take her back up.
I'm still working on my list of projects pre-cousin visit. Today I ran out to grab some things at Home Depot and now I'm going to go finish spray painting the rest of the outdoor furniture. It just needs a quick refresher coat. Hope you are having a great day.
