Tink seems to be getting the hang of surfing blue. Now if we can just EASE our way into green...

I did add extra food this morning as he was a tad lower at +2, but I just used his regular lc. The extra feeding seems to be helping him to maintain a good weight - he's finally back up over 12lb - and seems to be climbing rather than declining. Of course I dont want him to go MUCH over 12, so might have to start watching those extra feedings.

I think I'm going to just buy a case of mc small cans - I think I've already SPENT that much on single cans at this point, and only got a quarter the amount of product. On mornings like this I'd probably be better off with a few tsp of mc rather than a whole extra serving of lc - now that his weight is back up where I want it.

I keep thinking I should buy a case of hc too - but I know if I do, he'll stop needing it. Which I guess is a small price to pay for my sanity - so maybe I will anyway. ;-)

Very nice Tink...how about a safe blue surf today?

Oh those darn cat food wars. I've had that happen....buy a case and then the food is no longer desirable. And it's always the cases thst I ordered online...never the ones I bought locally  I think there is a lesson there ;-)

Glad he's gained weight. You are doing a super job with him, Jen.

Thanks. I'm glad things have worked out so well. To think that just under a year ago, I was THIS close to having him put down. I will be forever grateful to this group and the people on it! I wish my (former) vet had been anywhere NEAR as helpful and encouraging. Heck, I would have settled for at least reasonably competent.

It's really great seeing Tink back to his good ol' self.

I've been really happy with the online ordering, FOR THE MOST PART. It has it's kinks - for example there is currently half a case in my car, tightly wrapped in a plastic bag - which apparently has an unsealed or damaged can that I didn't notice when it arrived. There is leakage, and since I didn't notice it - there was some pretty nasty "activity" going on. Rather than clean off the larvae & figure out which can is leaking... I'm just taking the whole (still semi-sealed) half case to Petco for an exchange. I'll let them send it back to Wellness and THEY can deal with it. I did put it in the freezer for a few days, so any remaining ova & larvae are dead. :) I COULD also just contact Wellness - they were great with another case I had to return due to a texture issue with a batch of food - didn't even make me send it back. But by exchanging it, I'll have the replacement food right away. I do get a dented can here and there, but they've ALMOST always been usable. And at under $20/case, for what costs around $35 locally - a few dented cans or even a few returns here and there is well worth it to me.
