Yesterday another green AMPS on the way up!

Papaya was in such a good mood when I woke up at 4:15, purry and stretching out beside me, as if to say she was glad I was finally awake to enjoy such a nice morning. That's the third green AMPS in a row - nicer to see than black, that's for sure. However just like yesterday the green was the calm before the bounce. While I promise I did NOT feed her pancakes with maple syrup for breakfast, by +4 she had shot up to 490 and was in a much more subdued mood. I think I need to catch some really late PM numbers to see where this is coming from.

She came out to the kitchen for supper when I got home and was doing her best to be completely underfoot, not just plunked down in one spot. Now I remember why I don't have a rug at the kitchen sink - if there is a rug, Papaya has to lie on it, which was a problem if I was doing dishes because Sharp Cat did not want to share the rug with People Feet! She seems to have gotten all of the squawking out of her system for the moment and is now curled in a ball beside me on the couch, making a very good armrest!

Papaya says hello to all :dizcat

I hope Papaya is feeling better this evening. Furball doesn't feel as well when she gets back to pinks. Are you able to get a +10 or +11 test before your AMPS test? I changed my schedule just slightly (getting up 15 minutes earlier) so I can get a +10.25 test on Furball in the mornings. This helps me know if she is rising or falling or surfing at AMPS. It might help you know more about what Papaya is doing during the night.

Hello back to ya Papaya!! There's that Trampoline Queen we know so well  Now time to come on back down to some nice blues (I'm afraid to say greens because you know what happens then   ) A nice blue surf would be great Papaya ;-)
Have a nice night Amy and enjoy your armrest

Thanks for the suggestion, Carla. However I already set the alarm to get up at 4:15 AM to give her shot, then up again at 6:00 to feed her a bit more, then up at 7:30 to get ready for work. This way I can get a +3 or +4 to see whether I need to be worried about her doing one of her dives before I leave for the day. There's just no way I can interrupt my sleep any more on a regular basis or it probably wouldn't be safe for me to drive  I may be able to do a later test or two on the weekend when I can sleep later . . . but at some point I have to draw the line and look after me too. I did feed her at +6 before bed last night so I'm surprised she kept dropping. Every time I think I have an idea what she's doing she does something else

Well, for cereal there's nothing but plain old oatmeal around here . . . maybe she's been getting into the homecanned peaches?? I'll count the jars

ExACTly my sentiments. I loved the look on the vet's face last time when he went to make a note in Papaya's file and asked when she'd had her shot that morning . . . did he ever do a double take when I said 4:30!

I think I will read this out loud to her in case she doesn't check her condo before bed . . . hope she pays attention ;-)

Hello Papaya...you need to come back down from there!
I second that!

I think she's feeling better at the moment, having some sort of weird dream as she gets her beauty sleep. She's lying tummy half up, with a paw reached out to touch my leg, and she's making little licking motions in her sleep . . . very funny to watch!

Thank you all for visiting! Have a nice evening!

Hi Amy,

Papaya sure keeps you on your toes! :-D She makes a rainbow SS!

Love her story, she is a world traveler.

Hope she gives you another green to wake up to, and leaves out the boing!

Have a good night!

Jane

Hi Amy!
Hi Papaya!
Oh I love to watch Lucy dreams too!
Sometimes she looks like she's eating or running. It's very funny.

I hope Papaya will be in a good mood and nice number when you get up.

Amy, I can understand needing to balance taking care of ourselves and our kitties. That's great you can get a +3 or +4 before you leave for work. I can't do that which is why I try to get that +10.25. I'm glad you can get those tests in before you leave for work. I hope Papaya gave you another green this morning.
