Argh, weekly BG reads are up for week 4 after celebrating OTJ. I noticed this past week Max sounds like he has laryngitis when he meows! He has no nasal or eye discharge and is not sneezing or coughing...but his AMBG was up over 30 points from his last three weeks. Tried not to panic as he went quite a while during the night without eating (and hubby didn’t accidentally feed the other cat’s food again, which is HC). I was gone almost all afternoon but tested him again tonight, 3 hours after eating and his PMBG is still higher than he has been. Possible infection going on? I am taking our dog back in for a recheck on his spine on Monday and will ask about having Max seen. But, after what we went through with our other dog (he was PTS 9/14 due to a bleeding mass in his throat), I’m really trying hard not to freak out over Max’s throat.
Anyone ever had a cat with laryngitis and no other symptoms? He wasn’t stuck anywhere crying, but he did get food with sardines for the first time last week (two Weruva flavors we hadn’t tried before). Wondering if a sardine bone could have done some damage to his throat? They are usually pretty soft though...
