Good Morning LL!!
(LOTS today Elsa! please.....), and Happy Fursday!
LL! It's is I, Elsa, Lil Bit, kitteh barista!, president and CEO of Coffee Cat! Life is GOOD! GUESS WHAT!WACKY WEDNESDAY is over!!! What a relief. They have decided that today is TURN-AROUND TRIPLE THURSDAY! They are doing triples on everything! Kinda cool huh! They say that since Wacky Wednesday was so wacky that they wants to give all kitties some fun times today, triple funs! so. well. anyways.
Coffee time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and Double shot Breve's, with beans from high in the Brazilian Mountains.... and for my mocha fans: a VENTI Quad Blueberry infused white mocha/mocha blend with white chocolate chips melted within, swirled with a raspberry puree, topped with a strawberry infused whip garnished with caramelized berry sprinkles and white chocolate curls and a caramel drizzle.......SWEET! OH! No worries, a dollop of 4 berry and vanilla and caramel swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, topped with caramel and chocolate drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good! TJ's dunking cookies and Cronuts are complimentary!
I hope everyone had a great day yesterday. Ours was the best! Me and William and Nicholas had the best of times We got the break in the weather we needed, it was predicted to be sunny with blues skies, perfect fall weather, so we had to take advantage of that. Off we went! The Skykomish River was waiting for us once again. Here's what I wrote about yesterday in last night's post: "Hi Everyone! I hope your day has been a good one. Nicholas and William and I spent ours on the Skykomish River, HWY 2 area near Index and Gold bar. We were very lucky with the weather! It was a little foggy in some parts to start, but by 9/10 AM we had sunny blue skies, and topped out at 55. Wow: a perfect fall day. We have some clouds now, maybe the makings for a awesome sunset to boot. I doubt it was 55 where we were, most likely in the 40's, but the sun and the blue skies took care of any chill. The boys and I were thrilled to it to the Skykomish today. It was Nicholas's pick. He so wanted to see the salmon in the river again, so that was stop #1. He really loved that. Loves the "broken road that the river broke" (sight of a river washout from a few years back), loved the fish at his feet. As he would say: a major good time. I think it was maybe 41 there, but sunny, river was really cold. so... eventually that wading, rock throwing and fish watching got the best of him, and we were off to the car for lunch #1 of 2, and to warm him and WIlliam up, before heading off to stop #2 @ the Skykomish @ the big eddy near Gold Bar. His pick on that one too. It can be very sandy on some spots, so makes for really good play spot for the boys. What fun!! A train went over the bridge too while we were there. I think we saw 4 trains the while time we were out today - huge big deal for nicholas. What was even more eventful for him was that we found some dead Chinook along the river bank. "oh NO! Grammie! LOOK! The fish are dead. That can't be good. oh nooooooooo...."

That was funny. We must have stayed there an hour and a half, had lunch #2, packed up all, and headed off to meet his dad and mom for William's 4 month old DR appt. William is fun - he really is very much like Nicholas at that age: just watched everything, soaks it all in, smiles alot, sleeps through some, seems so at home with it all. Really kinda nice: I have two river rats on my hands. All in all, a very nice day for the boys. Picassa link: A Day in the Skykomish River...
Normalcy in MusketeerVille!
very normal, very quiet... Lola is camped out on my lap as I type this condo. I think it is one of my favorite times with her. She seems so small, so sweet, so innocent - just purrs and purrs and purrs... until I pet or poke a spot that is a no no, then she bites and gnaws on my finger.   THAT is so Lola! There is a large part of me that really hopes she stays the mischievous cutie that she is. It is never a dull moment around here with her. Bug has started sleeping in the bed at night. He curls up on my feet, and I find that rather nice. Elsa has my pillow, Bug has my feet. Lola as yet to sleep in the bed. She has a favorite rocker upstairs that she likes, and that is usually where I find her in the wee hours of the morning when I get up. Life is good.
Have a great day everyone. It is another Nicholas and William day today. I hope to take the boys up to a river, again, as Nicholas asked for one yesterday. He has such fun there that it is no surprise he asks to go back the next day. We may try for the river at Jack's Pass - it is a bit more remote than whet we did yesterday. I will see how weather and temp patterns develop and then pick a spot. Who knows - Nicholas may have already decided where we are going! ;-) The weather yesterday was said to be good for today, cool but with sun, so I hope we can make the trip.
I will try and get to condos when I can.
