Miriam and Putty (GA)

It has been a long time since we have posted but thought it was time for an update.
For those of you that don't know Putty (original name was Silly Putty) he has been on insulin for 3 years with a short 4 month OTJ only a couple of weeks after he first started on insulin. He was 5 yrs old when dx and just turned 8 in June. I am told by his vet that he is just beginning his senior years....at only 8!! He had his annual check-up in July and everything looks great. His vet who I love cannot believe how healthy he looks.
His dose has been very consistent. He was on 1.50u of Levemir since June and had a few low 40's so I reduced to a s1.50u. It looks like I may have to drop the skinny. He is a bouncer so he has one good green day, then 3 days of bouncing.
He acts like a kitten most of the time and is still a very silly. His favorite time to play is 11pm to midnight just when all the lights are being turned off. He will come to get me to follow him into the dining room where he crouches down under the table to let me know it is time to play. I am ready for bed by this time but he is too cute to ignore so we play.
He does many things to to get my attention in the morning. He will knock jewelry, tissue boxes, cell phones off the nightstand and when that doesn't work he slams the bedroom door. If that does not get me up he will slam the bathroom door.
My DH does the morning test, shoot and feed routine at 5:30 am since he leaves very early for the gym and work. I am usually still in bed so DH will come kiss me which makes Putty mad. He will run up the bed onto my pillow and lick my hair trying to cover my head hitting DH with his paw. He can be very sweet. cat_pet_icon
There are a lot of names I do not recognize so I have a lot of catching up to do.
