10/10 Belle AMBG: 88, PMBG: 83 (OTJ TRIAL DAY 11)

I would like to have them all on wet food now actually but the kittens are RAVENOUS around it. They prefer the wet food big time. I guess my concern is that They will eat it all if it’s left in the feeders, as soon as they see some there they gobble it up and the ONLY reason we still keep the cats and kittens separated at times is because of the kibble. I’m also a little concerned that it (fancy feast pate) is not comprehensive enough for their nutritional needs? I haven’t had kittens for a long time and I have been trying to figure out what the right thing to do for all of them is

Unfortunately, I haven't had kittens in a long time either. I am sure there must be some wet food for kittens. If they like wet food and there are no budgetary constraints, it's good for them to eat wet food. Might be very difficult to transition them later in life. Wet food = much needed water.

Tagging @tiffmaxee who is better placed to advise on kitten nutrition! How old are the kittens, btw?

something tells me that as long as you feed enough of the adult cat food, calories that is, that’s its appropriate but I haven’t talked to anyone about it yet. I bug you all enough with our sugar woes ;)

they’ve just hit the 6 month mark so on the upward trend from kitten hood now

You can use this carb calculator to get a rough estimate of carb%. Look at Dry Matter Carbohydrates at the very end.

I actually must have missed it the first time I looked at the list but there are two kitten flavours listed on Dr Lisa’s list and it says they are 3%! To the store today :D anything to help the kitties and make our life easier here!

My two were fed Wellness kitten and ff kitten wet. I was told to avoid chicken so they would not develop allergies. That worked for both as far as intestinal issues but not the other who has skin problems with too many proteins. They ate turkey but knowing what I now know about cat foods I bet there was some chicken in them. :banghead::(

Is chicken considered a bad food to feed? I just bought a whole box of FF Classic Pate Chicken.
