Ming's numbers haven't been budging. I wonder if he's got some glucose toxicity.

Also this morning, Ming ESCAPED. We usually let him out in the yard under supervision (or at least I do). I was out and my grandma let him in the yard. When I came home, he wasn't there to greet me which was weird and I asked my grandma where Ming was. I couldn't find him anywhere in the house and I asked my grandma again and she said, "Oh I let him outside."

Well... folks, after climbing into bushes and walking around the block, my sister found him in a pathway a row of houses over. When she saw him, she called out his name and ran to him but he got scared, ran to the closed gate, and hissed at her. She picked him up no problem.

I was obviously a crying mess the whole time. We have two collars for him. His first collar doesn't say he's diabetic and that was the one he was wearing. I usually put the diabetic collar on in case something happens so I was really concerned that 1) he was dead, 2) he was lost far far away, and 3) someone will pick him up and not know he's diabetic and not call us and give him back.

Anyway... Ming's not allowed in the garden until further notice. I'm going to investigate the yard. We've cat-proofed it as best we could but there's obviously a hole in the fence somewhere and we missed it.

I'm glad he's safe and sound!

Omg. That is terrifying! I’m so glad Ming is ok, I definitely would have been a wreck too.

I wonder about the glucose toxicity, definitely a possibility

How scary. Glad you found her. Maybe outside if on harness and leash.
Definitely. We used to tie a leash to the door and let him go as far as the retractable leash let him. Might have to go back to that if whoever lets him out isn’t willing to watch him like a hawk.

PMPS = 279
I’m not bringing him to work tonight since my sister is home. I hope he gets some nice numbers but let’s my sister sleep. My parents are now on their way to Hawaii! Lucky!

ahh Hawaii! Which island?

So, that was a scary event, so sorry you had to go though this.
I am glad he is safe and at home.

We had to secure our garden for Macka, which meant nailing planks on every little hole there was in the fence. But Macka can't jump so it's easy to let him out without supervision. Can Ming jump high? Is the street a dangerous one? A specific collar for when he goes out is a good idea, just in case someone decides to feed him.
When I was living in France, Macka would patrol the neighborhood and stop by every house for food. People were thinking "ohh poor little kitty, no one feeds you!" As a result he became very overweight :joyful:. It stopped once I wrote a message on his collar "do not feed me".

They're only in Hawaii for 2 days in Waikiki and then they board a cruise ship that brings them back down to Vancouver. I believe my mom said they're stopping on some islands along the way but I'm not sure if it's other Hawaiian islands or random ones haha!

I didn't think he could jump high! And YES, my house is beside a busy road. Sigh... I usually always watch him but it's okay, I've told everyone in the house not to let him out unless they can stay outside with him.

And lol @ Macka being a beggar!

+5 = 86
+6 = 83

Darn I should've taken him to work ahah! It's a quiet night - no patients and very little cleaning to do. Now my sister won't be sleeping!
