appreciating the comments on my insulin question here: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=26337.

Shadow had a wonderful day yesterday, skipped the usual napping spots in favor of someplace more sunny. This morning she gave me a moment of panic, couldn't find her when it was test time, she had climbed up the stairs and was laying on the landing. And with her neuropathy, that's quite an accomplishment so she must be feeling better. 4/5 P's already, she's not much interested in games. She and the monsters are back in cat prison today so the painters don't let them out. They hate being cooped up back there so numbers and eating will be wonky.

This is mainly a bump. Try putting ??? in your first subject again.
Insulin question: As a vial of Lantus ages, does its potency wane or is it like a light switch, suddenly doesn't work anymore? We have cartridges ready to start for the next time, I'm just waiting for this vial to play out and if Lantus potency slowly ebbs, I'm gonna be nervous when it's time to start that next cartridge. It may hit her like a ton of bricks.

For me sometimes I see numbers creeping up or just erratic, if it is past 28 days I'll change the vial. I just don't do a dose change at the same time, I give it a little time to see if there is a change from just the insulin.

Hoping your wonky day went smoothly and any wonkiness wears off quickly.

You guys are busy....painting....cleaning out the garage.....Hope you can take some of the weekend to enjoy yourselves.

much better than the last time the kitties had to be locked away in a bedroom because of painters. and now a good pmps #. she even rolled around a little on the floor while we were Wii bowling, pretty cute, and I'm counting that as a P.
 
Shadow usually nadirs around +3-4, so looks like I'm gonna get to sleep tonight.

Kim, I'm just reading through your condo from today and yesterday...saw the insulin question. We just started our third pen, and it was day 28 for us. It seemed a little early for it to poop out, but the pattern was the same as the first pen pooping out...higher numbers overall and inconsistent response. I also noticed a late drop in one recent cycle. As you saw from the drop Tinkles got tonight, the new pen had a much bigger kick!

Nice numbers for Shadow! Are the painters almost done? I bet the kitties can't wait for them to finish! Glad you got to sleep tonight, I'm heading that direction in a few minutes!
 
Kim...very nice numbers for Shadow and you are lucky she peaks early so you can get some sleepus tonight!! Hope the painters are done and she can
start moving around the house again!
