Welcome to Wednesday! We continue to send healing vines and prayers for Cinco and Sasha, JD, Zener, Trix, Rhiannon's Shadow, Billie, Tess, Tiger, Elise's Mom, Wendy's Mom, and Amy's Dad.
Other than the wicked bouncing, Gracie is doing super well. And....uh.....she isn't particularly happy with the way Tobey smells. In fact, regardless of his consistent big purring, she has hissed at him a few times since he's been home. He definitely needs KTSS and cimmamum ice cream. LBG was happy that it wasn't her that had to skip breffis and be at the vetty all morning and she was a wild and crazy baby again this morning as I was getting ready to head out the door with Tobes. Tobey is doing well (touch wood). He had one tiny tooth the root was beginning to resorb so they took the tooth out but it only needed one stitch and was no big deal. He doesn't even seem to realize he has a stitch there. His gums were a little inflamed due to his herpes but, overall, the vet thought they looked good. We have added some gel that goes on his gums in addition to his toothpaste. The only thing of concern was the anesthesiologist (who has done has anesthesia the last two times) said he was having very intermittent premature ventricular contractions which he's never done before. They responded to lidocaine (she said that is good because it "generally" indicates if there is a heart issue, it's likely minor). At any rate, we now have to see the cardiologist and have a full cardio workup on our baby boy. She did say that once she got him out from under the anesthesia, she could no longer detect them and his heart sounded great; BP gorgeous. She is hoping it is just a stress thing which can easily occur and which she has seen in other cats and dogs and upon which a cardio workup showed a totally normal heart. paws crossed. a million paws crossed.
I'm working today but obviously doing it remotely. Just wanted to post a quick condo with a Tobey update. As far as Missy G goes, I see a dose increase her in her near future.
Have a great day.
