10/1, Corduroy, AMPS=313, +2=106, +3.5=54

Good morning!

Corduroy seems to be fine, although his BG levels are a little high. This morning's AMPS is a little lower than yesterday's, so I'm hoping that means that this .05 is gradually building up in his shed and will take it down slowly. Fingers crossed!

He still has that darned rash all over his body, but at least it's slowly starting to go away...very slowly. Our vet said that it is hay fever and prescribed Benedryl. When I bought the Rite Aid liquid version of it, he started foaming at the mouth and when I bought another generic version of the tablet (crushed up in his food), he wouldn't touch it. So I guess there's nothing we can do. :?

I've been trying to take him outside on walks a little more lately because I feel like he needs some exercise. I even looked into buying a "cat wheel" for him, but that ended when I saw the cost...$500 +!

On a different note, I am so saddened by Christy's loss yesterday. I sat there and cried myself while reading all the posts. Chris, the fable that you posted is so touching and beautiful.

Hi guys .. so sorry to hear about corduroy's rash .. that can't be any fun, for you or him! Hopefully it clears up soon .. it is always a sad day in LL when one of our furbabies crosses over .. we come to love these kitties so fast and so easily ..

Yes, we are crazy cat people and mourn the passing of all the kitties here in LL. But we also celebrate all the good times too. Let's see a nice surf today, Cord. Hope the rash goes away soon. Have a great day!

I hope Cordury's itchies go away soon. It's tough when you put meds in kitty's food, and then they get suspicious of all of it. :YMSIGH:
Dogs are so much easier, cuz they swallow a treat whole, without knowing the pill is in it.

Nice blue this morning, I hope Corduroy doesn't bounce too much from the drop.

Sending good thoughts, and prayers, and healing vines for Corduroy. The PS #s will be the last to come down, and I know that they can get discouraging when you see them on the high side. It seems that the shot is doing wonderfully, though. Keep up the excellent work!
