I hope everyone has fun weekend plans. DH finally has a weekend off, but we'll probably spend it at home doing chores together. We could have gotten on the river again, but DH hurt his hand on our trip on Wed and its still too sore to paddle.

Blackie decided to drop last night and keep me up late. I don't know how some of you handle these late nights (thinking of Michelle, Ann, Pat....). I-) At +7.5 (1:30am), I added a little 12% gravy just because I couldn't keep my eyes open. And I kept resetting the alarm.

Blackie continues to feel good. He is eating well, got a little outside time last night and this morning and all P's were in place. He did something weird last night, though. I went outside to bring him in before we went to bed and he was sitting by his water bowl (he often sits there), but his right front paw was inside the water bowl and was soaking wet. He didn't even seem to notice it. I think it worried me just because it is odd behavior.

With that number, I guess I won't have to run home at lunch. DH can check Blackie at +8. Of course, sometimes I just start worrying for no reason, and if that happens, I will run home.

I wonder if a little HC gravy would have helped you in the middle of the night :lol: :lol: :lol: Hope you get some rest some time today. Sorry about your hubby's hand..ouch!!

Ugh those long nights can really hurt a gal, lots of caffene is in order for you.

guilty as it makes us feel, bounces can be a relief.

That's just how you do it. And I avoid the caffeine at night or when I can get to bed I can't sleep. Sugar is just fin though, afew cookies, ice cream, ... it wears off faster. I have an iPod Touch, I can set as many alarms as I want, have them automatically repeat everyday and ther is a timer for short interval testing. It's been a life saver.

Thanks for the confirmation, Ann. I have no problem getting up in the night to test a couple of times and going btb. Its when I have to stay up to test in 30 min or get up every hour for several hours that gets me. I think I better have my own hypo kit that includes chocolate ice cream. :mrgreen:

hear ya on the late night stuff... my DH stays up late - I just have him get me up when I need to test. that will work for maybe up to +8. after that... ?? It helps too that Mannie's shoot time is at 4:30 PM, so that +8 isn't too bad for me. much after that - omg. I guess I'm "lucky" in that I have become a light sleeper, wake up alot at night. Still - I feel your pain. I think we should all be like Ann - get an ipod touch - i want one of those.

YES! on the chocolate ice cream hypo kit.

Ele...thanks for dropping by our condo to visit today. Yes, Gracie is a cutie pie and has the puuursonality to match. Cracks me up that she loves that garbage
can so much. She like to look through the wood slats and think that she sees everyone but they don't see her.

Looks like Blackie will let you have some rest tonight...good/bad huh? I mean if you're up...it's chocolate time!! How long do you think it will take your DH's hand to heal?
