I shot a dropping number, and I'm trying to get him to eat.
I gave him some cypro about 20 minutes ago. I slept so well last night, frankly I don't know or remember how much he ate last night.

But, I did finally get some nice prezzies in the box.
On Sunday, I looked at J.D.'s poo. I normally don't look so closely at J.D.'s poo, but he has a little box (for him) at tbp and he went over the side, so I had to pick it up in a paper towel. There was a little red blood on the outside, like tiny lines. I'm guessing it's okay. The prezzie's from last night look okay, but I didn't look as closely at them.

Now, to get him to eat. He has eaten a few bites of his LC after adding FortiFlora. I mixed in MC and he ate a few more bites. I feel like when he's between 150 and 250, he just doesn't feel like eating. But, I have to go to work, and I need to know he's eating. He just doesn't understand.

Sending good appy vines to JD. I hope he eats for you this morning. I hope the bit of blood is not anything serious.

He finally finished his 1st Breffis. Ginger never finished hers, but ate half, and doesn't want 2nd Breffis.

I guess the MC J.D. just ate (like 20 minutes ago), did this? I tested a 337 and thought it must be wrong, so immediately got a new strip and new blood drop and got a 355!

I just called the vet's office and they said it is probably from him straining to go. He has been getting in and out of the box, and trying to go, more than usual. I have just started the Lactulose again. Hopefully, that will solve the problem.
When we were first given the Lactulose (a month ago?), the vet said to give it to him every other day, but I stopped when J.D. gave me a wet prezzie. I guess there must be a happy medium, somewhere.

why are you using lactulose instead of mirilax??? doesn't the former have sugar of some sort

I thought the miralax was supposed to be better but that issue isn't pressing for us. (antijinx)
I know you want to use it sparingly to not push them too far the other way.

Hope this is just a lb spike and J.D. can get relief.

Just stopping by to say hello...hope all turns out well for you and J. D.....
am wondering why the Lactulose also....thought Miralax was preferred also....?
 
I got Lactulose when I desparately went to the vet for the second or third (or fourth, if you count the last California trip) time and the vet said he wasn't constipated, but Miralax didn't seem to be working, and he wouldn't eat the food, and Ginger did eat the food. The vet said to give him Lactulose every other day, and it worked well, until he got too loose.
I guess I should try Miralax first, and if that doesn't work, then use the Lactulose..
Normally, he goes at least once a day. When he doesn't go for a day, and he keep visiting the L.B. and nothing happens, I want to make it easier on him.
