10/08 Nelli NS.+8,5 281 PMPS 239 +2 199 +8 213

Prayers for you and Nelli. I know exactly how you feel, Taco had a dental for the first time, 8/28. He went in with a low blue. I was a wreck, came home with a non readable high, he acted fine and was famished. I fed him little bits at a time. He had 4 extractions. He ate fine. Kept everything down. He ate his regular LC pate with his water mixed in.Hope all goes well for Nelli :bighug:

Thank you SOooo very much. Nelli is 20+ years old- is in remarkable ‘shape’ for her age... Nelli is 20+ years old. I am terrified. Afraid of lots of- what ifs :-|
What if, before the dentist agrees to go through with the exam, cleaning and… Says she is not stable enough?
I worry about the this much more so than I worry about, have confidence in him- sedating her and moving forward.
Am I making any sense?!?
I can not and do not live in a what if world so… There you go :-)!
We will know sooner than later, right? Thank you again so much for your kind words and wisdom :-).

More dental vines on the way! Get the sunglasses ready for some sparkling white teeth!

Years ago my kitty Daisy (20 yrs old) developed cancer in her front toe. Vet Removed her toe,Daisy did just fine. She lived to be 23 & dies peacefully laying next to me while we took a nap.
Best of Luck to you both. Sending healing thoughts & energy :)

Krystina, hope the day goes smoothly for you and Nellie! We'll be thinking about you guys. Let us know when you're home and how it went! And of course her numbers from after the fact - I'm sure you'll both be exhausted :)

Please send us p.o.s.i.t.i.v.e (thoughts and/or, prayers)...
THEY WORKED. Thanks, :bighug::bighug::bighug: MUAH!

UPDATE:
She flew... flying colors she flew!
Was very worried about diabetes complication... is Nelli further dEcLiNiNg?
:-\
WORRIED...

Has all her teeth- none troubled.
-(“off the record“) Vet told me, Nelli symptoms (moutth antics, drama...), he sees often- being an acid reflux issue, “talk to your vet (I thought... What Vet o_O:eek:?), about this (but) I’ve seen Zantac or Pepcid for a couple of weeks (can) eliminate this” :)!

Now, to you my/our tremendous caring, interested, tremendously knowledgeable, greatly valuable to us, friends here-
I have a question-
Zantac, Pepcid given at what ‘ dosing” to our FD loved ones?
Should this question, be posted on Main Forum instead of here?
Thanks for all the :bighug:, thanks for... and one more- THANKS again :)

Too many details regarding “exhaustion” for me to be able to articulate here in writing tonight.
Exhausted. Wrung dry.
Thank you so much for caring. Kind of blown away how much caring was sent our way :-)!

Taco takes generic pepcid (FAMOTADINE) 30 minutes before his 2 bigger meals, am &pm. I get a box of 20 mg and take a pill cutter and quarter them, THEN, I shave off a little bit to make it each piece about 3 mg. He has been taking that for a few months and helps with stomach acid. He has not regurgitated that clear stuff since he has taken it.Do not get long acting or anything else besides plain Famotadine. It helps with nausea too, which is what Taco had and would quit eating because he was nauseous. He has not vomited at all since months. The box will most likely say AR acid reducer. It is very inexpensive. :) Hope that helps. Great to hear everything went so well :bighug:

I'm so glad all went well!!!!

My vet prescribed 5 mg once a day (she said to give it with the nighttime meal, since acid seems to build up more then). It definitely helped my Harvey. As Cindy said, get the Pepcid AC (or generic), not the time release kind. If you have a Walmart near you, they generally carry it. It can be hard to find.

So glad to hear you made it home safely - I recall that was quite a long drive! I was getting worried last night - but went to bed before your news. Congratulations on all the good news from the vet!!! :) Hopefully the reflux issue can be dealt with easily :)

So glad she is all done and the procedure went well. When she started coming down in numbers, I had my doubts that it was a dental problem as pain will make the numbers go up not down.

Glad it's behind you and hope the Pepcid and or Zantac ( did not know that helped with acid reflux) can help her.
