I spoke too soon! And he had to prove me wrong :banghead:

Let's talk about a dose increase. That invariably gets them going! :)

It could be the diarrhea adding up a bit, we're still working on it. Already on some probiotics (8B CFU S. Boulardii) and we're waiting for the Jarrow one to arrive (hopefully) tomorrow.

Yes, a dose increase I think is dued even with the panicky reduction on the 3rd.

So I think 1,75 this evening, I need to figure out how to measure it. I only have 1IU markings, and the helper page I printed doesn't match what I have, with my 1IU being a 0,4 on the page. That would be a 0,7 marking for 1,75 so I think I can make it work.

Which syringes are you using? I think @Marina & Chico is from Romania but she isn't very active these days. You could send her a PM and check which syringes she used to use.

The other option is to get callipers. I used them even with syringes with half unit markings. They were great for accurate dose measurements. Here's the sticky on Dosing with calipers.

These are the only options for 0,3 or 30IU I have found so far. The one on the right is manufactured by Serix, the one on the left I think MKD. In the end, they're both Chinese. I'm using the one on the right, but I can try a batch of the other to check how they are.
I know of BD Micro-Fine and looked for them, but could only find it sold by a single unknown seller from Greece. Their site looks like a scam, and the the price is also 3 to 4 times more plus shipping, so I'd rather avoid it.
I did realize I have a 3x watchmaker loupe and an old(er than me) analog caliper I can use. I'll try some measurements in the afternoon.

I used my smartphone camera as a magnifier and it worked really well! I used the zoom function of the camera to magnify (it's wonderful) and another phone with the My Light app as a backlight. Here's a previous post with my set-up:
11/15 Herman amps 83 +3 108 +6 61 +9 79 pmps 99

And now we've dropped into the blues again. It's like he knows he's owed a dose increase.
Maybe the probiotics helped a bit, here's to hoping it also helped his stomach.

Yup. Not the first time a cat has reacted to the threat of an increase.

Looks like he's clearing a bounce, so you want to wait till tomorrow to increase. It's possible he might nadir at PMPS and head up from there, but I would still wait till tomorrow morning to increase (if he doesn't give you greens tonight).

He was 110 at PMPS but I already shot him with the 1,75(ish) dose. I am around to monitor and will test +1 and +2 at least.

Hi Valentin! He looks to be surfing well for you thus far this cycle. If it were Jude, I might grab a +6/+7 test to see where he is at that point in the cycle. As Bhooma said, this looks like a bounce-breaking cycle, and sometimes the nadirs on those are a bit later in the cycle (like the 111 @ +9 on 10/6). Also, when they are breaking a bounce and when you increase on top of that, there is greater momentum with the effect of the insulin. He might even decide to dip his paws into the lagoon (the greens) tonight; let's hope it's within good ranges. I would keep a close eye on him. Food (or syrup, if necessary) is the tool in your toolbox to elevate his bg if it falls too low.

Thank you, it was an easy night, and no lagoon for him yet, he kept increasing to a 180 @+6,5 and he was stll there @AMPS this morning.
Quite a bit hungrier than usual though, but maybe because his stomach issues seem to have cleared.

I shouldn't post on yesterday's post (we like everyone to post a new condo each day), but since you haven't posted today, I will break that rule because I want to congratulate you on that GREEN! Good work, Blue!!! That 1.75 dose is certainly getting him down into safer (healing) numbers.
