Ollie's last condo = OTJ!
HI all!! Ollie is doing fine with his OTJ bidness. He was blue at +1 last night, but thankfully, in the 60s again today. I'll be testing him at his old pre shot time tonight, just to see what's up. DS stayed with Ollie while DH and I went to Belgium for a week in Sept. DH was invited to drive at the racetrack in Spa, Belgium. I didn't mention it or even buy the airline tickets until Ollie was OTJ for fear of jinxing Ollie's progress. I did make a patch for Mark's drivers suit that said "This driver brought to you by FDMB" Without all of the help and hand holding, we'd never be OTJ, allowing both of us to make the trip.
I spent about 2 hours today with a friend of my uncle. She has a diabetic 15 year old cat. Diagnosed in Aug. I gave her Ollie's backup test kit, some low carb, wet food, Ollie's old hypo kit, Dr. Lisa's food chart and hopefully, she'll come sign up here. (Claudia and Dash) She's been lurking here but is anxious about diving in. We went through the basics of feeding low carb, avoiding the vet for curves, etc. Right now, Dash is getting 5 units 2x day. Eating some wet and some dry. She knows she shouldn't change his food to low carb, wet until she is ready to monitor him. I tried to convince her that this really isn't a frightening place and she'll get all the help she needs. She's got my phone number and i told her i could help her sign up and introduce her if she would like. Cross your fingers!!!!
As always, prayers for all of us. Please kittehs, be well, munch up those fuds. Blue skies to all.
