10/02 Rufus PMPS 221, +2 180

Ok... is it ok for me to BCS it again? I'll check Rufus again in fifteen, but I'd like to know what my most favorable options are. I can't delay for more than an hour or so, and I recently shot a BCS, so I don't know if that should have ramifications or not... I've only had one other green AMPS, and I didn't shoot that one at all, since I didn't have enough testing strips. He wound up with a 400+ PMPS.

If I were to do a BCS - by how much should I slash it? Down to 1.00u? .75? He has pretty big reactions to insulin changes, so I really don't know how much would be appropriate right now.

83 is a nice retest number, looks like he's coming up,,,will you be able to get a +1 after you shoot?

I am home today as far as I know and I have a full bottle of strips - I waited another fifteen-ish and got 82, though, so I fed and did Sk 1 - just moments before Miriam posted. (Eeep). I jumped the gun... I just can't do a Big Delay - I get really confused and then nobody gets what they need.

There is one number from last night that I forgot to update - it was a +2 of 189.

Alright. Thank you so much - I should have known he was going to do something special for me today. ( :roll: ) I'll get the next 3 hourly tests, just for fun, I think. I'd like to know what he's going to do today.

Nice hooting this morning. It looks like you're getting more comfortable with shooting lower numbers.

Weeell... I guess I'm getting a little cozier with lower numbers, but I only like them when they're steady, lol. I'm not sure I like the look of a +1 that's lower than his AMPS, though.

Nice job this morning. I hear ya on feeling more comfortable shooting w/the predictable numbers. Drives me crazy when its unpredictable. Its nice to get some objective eyes and receive some hand holding from folks here when things are different.

+1 is 70. Steady for now, but we'll see what happens at +3. Crossing my fingers for a continuation of this "70" stuff.

Yeah! Rufus gets a gold star. Does anybody have ideas about dosing tonight? Can that even be speculated on right now?

Thanks for checkin' on this boy, everyone. He's doing GREAT today. He's still acting surly and has recently begun alternating between ignoring and attacking John-Finn. (Believe it or not, I consider this an improvement; he's no longer afraid! Now, I'm just waiting for them to get over themselves).

At +7 he is 79. It looks like his nadir slipped my notice and happened at an irregular place in the day. It's something to make note of, I guess. I'm a happy girl and crossing my fingers for continued improvement.

When I asked Rufus to keep up the good work he narrowed his eyes, flattened his ears, and stuck his tail straight up. I think I have been flipped off by my cat.

I sure will be getting a +11 - need to give us plenty of time for decision-making... but I thank you for putting that in my head. I know it would have slipped my mind if you hadn't mentioned it!

To be honest, I think this 210 may be a fluke; my sister just walked in and it spooked him, but I grabbed him and did his test right then... if it's not, I wonder if he didn't get into a french fry earlier. Oh, Rufus, you carb-addict!

Unless you get any surprises at PMPS, I would stay with the 1.25. That dose is looking really good on him. :smile:

Well, I took a second test and it came out 194, so not quite a fluke, perhaps. Rufus last ate at breakfast, actually. I haven't been very good about getting with the program and giving mid-day snacks. I always take his +7 and was planning to feed him afterward, but I can't remember to associate a second feeding with the +7. ohmygod_smile

I think I can send myself text message reminders with my new phone, though, so that ought to help (once it gets here) - "+7 - FEED CATS, GENIUS." Until it is engraved on my brains. @-)

Not too pleased with the sudden hike - mostly because I don't know why it happened. Eh. Full dose unless he drops significantly?

I agree! I've been loving this day, and it's not been particularly thrilling other than his greenness. :lol: I was getting ready to knock my head through a wall a little while before this streak of jolliness started. Way to throw the Bean a bone, Rufus!

221 for a PMPS. Not all that bad. Looking forward to that Lantus kicking in, though. I'll be back for a +2 or thereabouts.
