Sorry, missed yesterday, it was a crazy day, full of meetings with only 10 mins between each.

She was very nauseous and 'off' this morning. When I thought about it, I realised that I had put a anti-fly product containing "Dichlorvos" out (not illegal in South Africa, but should be!), needless to say that is now binned...gave her some Cerenia and she's eaten (albeit late) and has perked up a bit and ate about an hour ago (+5).

So far the list of insecticide products that she reacts badly to is getting quite impressive:

Sensitivities - causing nausea: Product
Flumethrin: Seresto
Imidacloprid: Seresto
Dichlorvos: Vapona
Selamectin: Revolution

On the plus side, I am getting the hang of freehand poking (to minimise impact on ears over using the lancing device), and managed to get a couple of tests today!

YAY for getting into a test routine again, but I must say the freehand poking thing is ... interesting, so far a bit hit and miss, but at least she doesn't seem to feel it too much, so I must be doing something right!

Could not get a test last night - my new rule is that unless I am worried (ie she hasn't been eating or seems off) I poke no more than 3 x for a test, if not successful, I leave her alone - to save a lacerated ear.
