10/02/10 Callie AMPS 198

Good morning everyone! I overslept and need caffine immediately I think she has a good start today and am anxious to seee todays readings! After always starting AMPS in the 400's we have dropped to 198? Does this seem normal to you? I don't know whether to be happy or a bit worried Well I'll look forward to the feedback. Read till so late that I was a zombie and got through the AMPS half awake. I must have had enough practice now because I didn't even notice. Callie didn't care .. as long as she got fed all this new marvy wet food she was just dandy. I am off to get coffee so I can procede. Thanks and have a wonderful day! it's possible she went lower overnite, but either way, it's a nice AMPS!

Generally, when you shoot a number that's lower than what you're used to shooting, you want to get a +1 and a +2. It's a great AMPS!! Why it's blue -- ask Callie!! She's a beautiful kitty.

Good morning Michelle! Yes I have only had 2 sips, but already on the way to recovery Enjoy your startup fluids (BG) Ronnie .. I will take your advice and get her readings. This my first trip on this kind of number as a start PS. I am a bit concerned about this quick a drop, but then she had a 100 drop after switching to canned so I'll just keep checking and post so someone can catch if anything's wrong. I've been looking into many of the groups stats and trying to learn what numbers other than 400s and 300s mean Will keep at it since it is a very good tool to see advice to others! Beautiful AMPS Libby! Like Ronnie and Sienne said, you will want to monitor closely today, starting early in the cycle (+1 or as soon as you can if not). Callie could still be going lower from the AMPS, even with food, so you want to know if that is the case. Did you get high carb food yesterday? Do you have plenty of test strips? You may need them today. Keep us posted!

what a sweet face on your little fuzzhead. morning numbers look very good, a nice start on her day. glad the is working for you. diet changes can change things dramatically, hope so for Callie.

Ketone test NEG

Good morning! Yes I do have a range of high and med foods ready. I also have two kinds of strips .. 1 ketone (ketostix) and one for BG (Diastix). I took a +2 and she was already up to 248. Think we are going to be fine. I'll do reads all today and in PM to keep an eye on things. I'll be trying to follow the TLP since it seems to be what most here use. I need to get a human monitor and was leaning to the ReliOn since I see quite a few use it. Also read that it's a bit cheaper for the strips. Someday I will figure this out. I am always bad with xtra sleep I can't focus as well for a number of hours. 2 cups coffe so far (BG) I need to eat too so now that kitties have had breakfast I will too!
