Not quite the lagoon, but close enough....another nice morning for Trix. It's interesting that her "PS" numbers are coming down a bit....interesting to see what a non-traditional OTJ kitty does with her pancreas. It does make me wonder what a civvie would put out there, too...but not enough to subject my civvies to regular testing. Her appy is happy, got my morning snuggles, and all went well with this morning's gelcap (yep, you've got it Serryn - I fill and empty gelcap with all of Trix's meds [BP meds, benazepril, Pepcid, and every other day she gets Cerenia] so they all go down at once. She developed an aversion to Pill Pockets when she had pancreatitis last spring.).

As of yesterday, my Dad was still feeling good, but he also got the chemo-to-go pump disconnected yesterday afternoon, so the crash should start today. It usually doesn't REALLY peak until Sunday, though, and then it starts getting better fairly quickly. I have to run over there this afternoon, so I'll get a first-hand account.

I'm off today, so it's time to start chores! That's OK...I'm home with my kitties...I'll take chores and kitties over going to work any day. Have a great day, L&LL!

Oh she's wading around in the Lagoon at least!;) vines for your dad and the latest chemo round. I hope he bounces back quickly. ( the one time around here where a bounce is good!)

Vines for your DF. several months ago someone was going to experiment with testing civvies but I don't think I ever saw the results. enjoy your day off.

I would definitely call that green! That is interesting on the PS numbers. Finally. Silly girl. I wouldn't try testing my civvie either.

Healing vines for your dad. I hope the crash is easier than usual. Have a great day off with the kids Amy!

Hi Amy, From my computer...that's green:D:D. Trixie has written her own rule book and she sticks to it perfectly! Lots of prayers for your dad to feel great.

I'm glad Trixie is feeling so good. I've thought about testing my civvies too, but decided not to. Sending prayers for your dad.

Hey Trixie, I think that you are over there, in the lagoon. I'm on shore right now, but hope to join you later.

Hi Amy, I hope your dad will have a whole string of good days.

Enjoy the weekend,

Ella & Rusty

Just spoke with the vet...Trix's BUN and Creat have jumped significantly. This is a shock to all of us....happy appy, weight gain, feisty, etc. We are already doing all that we can for the CKD, so we just have to keep on going with it. Her phos has creeped up a tad, so we'll add a little more binder. She's not anemic and everything else looks great. Even though she feels good, I am pretty rattled right now...I really wasn't expecting to hear this.

Amy, I'm happy that Miss Trixie is feeling good, but I have to admit, that vet report put a lump in my throat.
I'll be watching for a better report next time. Hugs, Amy.
Still remembering your dad in my prayers.

Man, that is the phone call you don't want to get!!! :bighug::bighug::bighug: You are doing everything you can do and clearly Miss Trixie is doing awesome in all other respects- remember, your little girl is a fighter! Tons of vines and prayers for you, Trixie and your dad.

I'm loving all those pretty numbers that she's posting in her thread title, but I'm not liking that vetty report so much. Sending lots of healing vines to her body and lots of calming vines to you. Oh, and lots of healing vines to your dad, too!!! :bighug:

I think Trixie was trying to make you feel better with that lovely PMPS. :D I know that sickening feeling when you get that call. Are you still giving fluids? Maybe more or more often would help?

Sending tons of healing vines for Trixie and also for your DF. Minka says to tell him she is right there with him - ugh on the crash! :blackeye:

(((Amy))) i'm sorry the numbers have gone up but remember....treat the cat which is what you've been doing and she's doing great. I'd rather phosphorus stay down so it's good you have been able to keep that under control. Did your vet think you should perhaps do fluids every day now?

Prayers for your dad.
