Good morning LL and HAPPY FRIDAY!!

Happy furry purry guy with all 5 p's. Tarragon is feeling a little neglected now that we are back at tbp, so we spent last night cuddling. That seemed to make it better.

Tarragon is also feeling neglected since we are having to spend some extra time with Charlie. Anybody with Droolers have any thoughts? Charlie is starting to go back to the bedroom and laying on his bed there and won't come out when we are home. He has never done this before and always wanted to be with us in the living room. Last night I took him outside and he didn't want to come in for 2 hours. It was 10 degrees out so it was not pleasant. He is also not wanting to go in the front room, where his window is and where he normally spends a lot of time. I am at a loss and have no idea what is going on with him. We just had his glands done and his ears checked last week and everything looked good. He is eating normal and peeing/pooing normal too.

Hope you all have a great day!

Morning Melissa :coffee::coffee::coffee:

Nice start for you today Tarragon. Surf well, 'K?

No clue on Charlie.... I thought maybe mobility issues. Good luck on figuring out what is going on. It is so hard when they can't tell us.

Have a great day today, I hope all goes well.

Mr. T, the beans got to work, you know. Be a cat and just nap the day away and you won't even know they're gone.

No clue on Charlie. Although it sounds like he may be feeling a little off. But he's eating, peeing, and pooping fine. Hmmm? Vines that he's back to himself soon.

Nice blues for T! Unfortunately I know nothing about droolers at all...could something have scared him by his window, so now he's avoiding that room? Did you also have BW done recently? Sending vines that the mystery resolves itself and he's back to being Charlie!

That is what I was wondering Amy. We had his senior full panel done in Sept. I made an appt to take him in this afternoon just to get a check through.

Nice blues Mr. T! Sending good vetty vines for Charlie. It does sound like he is feeling off, but the not wanting to come inside? If he wasn't feeling good I would think he wouldn't want to gou OUT! what was he doing out there? Moving around or holed up somewhere?

Hi Melissa
Nice blue AMPS to start Tarragon's day. Hope he surfs the nice numbers for you.
Do you think Charlie might be having eye problems. You mentioned he wanted to stay outside at night and I'm assuming you have lights on in the evening when you come home from tbp and it's darker in the bedroom. Just a thought.
Have a great day.

Morning Melissa,
Nice to have all 5 Ps and snuggles. Surf those beautiful numbers T!! I hope Charlie feels like Charlie soon and takes up his regular spot by the window. Our little black kitty once started avoiding all of us, hanging out in another room. I had to bring him back by us, put him in a little bed and hang out with him for awhile. Don't know why, but that fixed it. Hope it's something simple for Charlie.

Hi Melissa,
Do you think that Charlie could be having memory lapses, like forgetting where he is or what time it is? How old is he? It's good that you're going to take him to the vettybean, even if just to get some thoughts on the various possibilities. Sending Charlie lots of vines and good, doggy thoughts.

Mr. T., you take good care of Charlie now, OK?

Hugs, scritches,

Ella & Rusty

Charlie is almost 11. He had both knees replaced about 5 years ago so he does have arthritis. When he was outside, he was just sitting outside the door but not hiding at all. I thought about teeth, eyes, depression with the cold weather. It will make me feel better to have him looked at. I don't want him to be in pain and we all know how good fur kids are at hiding pain, but especially labs. Thank you all for the good thoughts. Tarragon is doing a great job of keeping an eye on his brother. I will let you know what the vet says.

Back from the vet. They did a full blood panel. Everything looks good. Itcoyld possible be his arthritis so I am giving rimadyl for the next few days.

Tarragon is doing good, sleeping with his buddy.

Glad Tarragon is doing well and getting lots of cuddles to make up for all the neglect! ;) As for Charlie, I'm sorry to hear that something is off with him. I was thinking the same thing as Amy about maybe being spooked by something, but the sitting outside for so long doesn't make sense either. I am happy to hear that his BW came back with good news. Hopefully, it's just some odd phase...like Shasta going back to my bed after her breffis while I'm getting ready for work. It's amazing the little, subtle things we all notice about our pets. Sending tons of healing vines for Charlie for whatever might be ailing him...physically and/or mentally. :bighug: Sleep well, Melissa.

Sending vines and hugs to Charlie....hoping the medication works! I was thinking depression as well...winter is more difficult for humans, guessing no different in animals...

Mr. T, so good to hear you are taking good care of your brother :bighug:

Tarragon, you are very good brother. You know Mama and Daddy love you just as much when they are working. They just have to go to earn money for more kitty fuds!

I, too, was thinking something had spooked Charlie and he was afraid to go back where he had been scared. He might have been sitting by the door because he wanted in but was afraid. Poor baby. I hope you figure it out. Sending lots and lots of vines for him.
