I'm glad she's home.
I know she doesn't like that stupid cone, but it is what she needs to heal up her wound, so two weeks will be over, eventually.

I am praying that all tests come back that it is just a fatty cyst and nothing to worry about.

She is so pretty :)

Shadow is such a pretty cat. I am sure she is glad to be home with you. Prayers for a quick recovery and peacefulness for Shadow and you.

Awwwww, YAY for a successful surgery!!!!!! Good job, Rhiannon for keeping your cool. If it were me and they told me I could come up and be there when she woke up...I would have tried to curl up with her in her cage! I do love her cone head pictures. She's such a pretty girl. Keeping my fingers crossed that the labs come back with good news. Sleep well and give that girl some scritches!

(((Rhiannon)))

Your poor sweet girl. Her little tail is only a tiny bit nekkid. I'm glad the vet thought it was only a cyst. It's good she is too tired to care about the cone. She doesn't look that uncomfy in it tonight but tomorrow might be different when she feels more like herself.

She's so gorgeous! I'm glad your baby is doing fine and made it through so well.

kept her cone on most of the night....
everytime she relocated.... she would thwack everything with that cone.

especially her stairs to the bed....
thwack...scrape
thwack...scrape
thwack... scrape

I was sleeping too hard ... but I finally took it off once in the middle of night so she could eat... and put it back.
and then this morning.... I took it off....
and then she ran and hid under couch....

I'm having to pester her again this morning to leave it alone...
probably have to get the cone back on....

Oh poor Shadow.....
Have you thought about getting her a soft cone?
Once I put a cone of Ginger, and she panicked and started running backwards, and kept jumping and falling off stuff, and it was so dangerous.
If she ever needs a cone again, I'm getting her a soft cone.

What great news, Rhiannon! The dental also sounds like it's not very pressing or the vet would have been in more of a rush. I hope Shadow feels better quickly and forgets about her tail. I know you must be relieved! :-D

Hugs,
Melanie & Racci

Great news that the vet thinks it is a cyst, but I know you will worry until you get the results. :YMHUG: :YMHUG: I think Ella is right, better not to have pain at both ends at once!

cat_pet_icon cat_pet_icon cat_pet_icon Be good Shadow and the cone can come off sooner, no messing w/ the stitches. Tess always managed to fold the soft cone back and ineffective. This one from Drs. Foster and Smith looks good though. They also have a soft one w/ foam in it that doesn't fold back as easily.

Just sneaking in & Catching up - poor Shadow! Sorry the vet didn't feel comfortable yanking out those 2 suspect teeth - Tigger only has 4 left, too, so I understand your situation & concern there, completely! But - I imagine if the vet was truly concerned they were an imminent problem, they would have come out.

But - that's good up-front news about the cyst likelihood - will keep you in prayers that it all remains as it is - a beautiful lion-tailed kitty that will shortly be as good as new!

Rhiannon, I'm sorry but I just saw this....so glad that the vet visit went well, except for having to take Shadow back in a few months for a dental.
