It is still in the normal range! If you are worried test about 3 hours after she eats and see if the BG is down.

Yay! You're still in the normal range (some vets would consider that too low, you know!). I think she's doing wonderfully! Keep up the good work, Sassy!

Tricia and Anne,

I see that you both have cats that have been OTJ before and now they are back on it.

How often do you test once they are OTJ? And how did you determine they needed to be back on it?

Sassy is 13, so I thought this would be something that I had to deal with until she passes, now Day 10 of the trial and her spunk being back, I am a little thrown off.

I want to make sure I have all the facts and as much knowledge as possible to keep her healthy and in a safe range for me to help her stay that way.

Chyna was OTJ too, and I tested once weekly (or so), but some people go to monthly or less often, some more often at first. She didn't mind the testing, and it made me feel better to know, and since I have all the supplies...so weekly it was for us :-D I noticed her numbers going up from her "normal" and she started hitting out of range normal, we tested for infections at the vet to rule out teeth and such and nothing was showing...but numbers kept going up so we ended up back on insulin. I posted on here for help and advice :-D

That seemed to do the trick, her food is probably out of her system, her +4 number 71, much better.

I like those numbers better.

Looks like another fairly good day.

Her PMBG is 89, I plan on testing her again before bed.
