The 132 bg is a food spike. I was afraid of her going too low and so gave just a little hc so I could catch a few hours' sleep. Amazing how just a little spikes up her bg. Will post more in a bit and update. I bet I am the only one up, and I am in Southern CA.

OT Still such a shock about the Tucson shootings. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone.

Good morning Ann,

Yes just a smidge of food after nadir can really spike things up. I know I can usually get away with it with Attie as he tends to drop later most days, but if he was surfing low I just let him ride.

OT: Yes, the Tucson shooting is a tragedy for the people involved. My heart breaks for them.

Hi,
Not much change from the earlier check. I can see it takes a while to get the hc out of the system. Just to make sure my Relion meter was working as a back-up, I took a sample, and her bg was 106 with the Relion meter, so a 28 point difference. It's still a blue surf with both meters, but the comparison shows the difference in the animal meter and the human meter. Hope Pat & Shadow don't see this, as she will have some fun with teasing me for using the two meters (all in fun).

Wow, Blue, with the windchill factor of -4 degrees, I hope you can stay inside today!

Maggie as had some nice numbers last 2 days! She has a great momma bean..Hope this is a nice green day for her!

Yes our whole country is saddened by the events in Arizona!! Prayers for them all!

Ann...I think that two meters are just NOT enough. You need a third to use for a good comparison. Suppose one is way off....how will you know if the second one is correct? You see, a third is a necessity...

Oh, and you could color code each meter on your SS....have 3 lines for each day....yeah, that's it! ohmygod_smile Some things just never change, right?

Maggie is 87 bg at +6 and on my Alpha Trak meter (ha, ha. Pat) - my first post was just testing the Relion. I didn't expect this nice green, as she's been grazing all morning. She was sleeping all curled up in a ball, and I was going to wait a little longer to check her bg, but she got up and wanted food, so she seems to let me know when it's time for a check. She may have been lower at the +3 from past experience. I was tied up earlier in our laundry room doing laundry, so could not get mid am check.

What a nice day for Maggie. Too fun on the meters. :lol: :lol: I love it when they know they need to be checked. Mannie will do that too.
