Good Morning LL!

I missed everyone so i thought i would open up a Leo condo. Talked to both my parents this morning, Leo is doing great! Been blue and green alot since i've been gone, except for this morning, but according to the "world" numbers we are still blue! New diet is going well, my dad says its been extremely tough on both the grandpa and the kitty, non stop begging! Poor guys, but i asked my parents to try their best to help Leo lose some weight. Its been so unseasonably warm back at home that Leo has been spending the majority of his time outside, sniffing around for mousies i imagine. Usually its around -4F to -25F or so in January and we've been above freezing pretty much all of January so far :o Up at work it just keeps snowing and snowing and snowing.........everyday we get at least a couple inches.

As for me and tbp, i'm stuck on office duty for the rest of the week. My partner and I went out to sample a lake on Saturday (on sno-mobiles) and i hit a drift and landed in open water, my sled went one way and i flew the other. I ended up landing on my butt and my head snapped back and hit the ice pretty hard, i now have whiplash and am on "light duty". I was wearing a helmet! I am pretty sore and it keeps getting worse and spreading all down my back as the days go by. What i wouldn't give for a nice hot bath, too bad we don't have a tub up here

I hope everybody's week is going by well so far and all the kitties are happy and healthy :-D

Re: 1/9 Leo AMPS 200

Wow, Tracy - I'm glad you're OK after that crash. Scary stuff!!! Good thing you had the helmet on.

Good news about Leo's numbahs this week! Dieting is no fun for anyone...just tell Leo it's not a "diet", it's a "lifestyle change" ! Hopefully he'll adjust to his new portion size soon.

Take it easy and rest up - keep an eye on those injuries!

Amy

Second on the WOW! That could have been much worse. First it's the birds trying to get you, now the ice! Have you p***ed off mother nature? If you can't get a soak in a hot bath, can you get to a heating pad for your back?

Also wow on that +77! Slow down Leo, it's not a race to the bottom.

Re: 1/9 Leo AMPS 200, +4 77

Hi guys .. love the leo reports! I am sure the dieting is hard for all dealing with it, but it is for the best, and I know your parents want that for leo! Wow, I hope your injuries don't turn into anything major .. I mean, they sound like a lot right now, I guess I am just hoping they don't turn into anything more serious .. Is there any way you could return home early? Just take it easy!

Re: 1/9 Leo AMPS 200, +4 77

Well i just saw the nurse at work here, she's decided that my injuries are getting worse and more widespread and is sending me home on tomorrow's flight. I've already made arrangements to see my doctor and for xrays as well. I phoned my dad and let him know i would be home tomorrow and he said "ok good, i'll tell Leo"   It made me giggle, which then hurt my back even more  This momma will be home tomorrow baby boy!!

Nice numbers for Mr Leo! yay! Glad to hear he is finally back in his numbers. It is warm here as well. Crazy weather.

So sorry you are hurt. One nice perk is you get to go home. See the dr and take it easy. A nice hot bath and heating pad will help, along with a cuddle kitty. Healing vines to you Tracy!!!!

and laughter is SUPPOSED to be the best medicine

feel better, girl...or you'll be walkin like the kitty in the picture!

 OH WOW! I do hope you are better soon... Good thing that you will have things checked out. we worry about you!

Leo will be glad to see you. I can so your DGP trying to manage his diet... I bet that is hard for him.

It is so interesting that so many places have warmer than normal temps this winter. just so odd...

You take care, and have a safe trip home. I do hope you feel better soon. The first couple of days after an "accident" like that are always the worse.

Oh no Tracy. I hope you got some good meds. I really feel for you, with the back pain. I hope tomorrow is better, not worse for you.
I see Leo is doing beautifully today.
Thanks for visiting our condo, in your misery.
Cyber hugs don't hurt, so am sending one. *grin*

Hey Tracy, We hope that your back will be fine again soon. I'm very glad that you will go home to get it checked out. You don't want to fool around with that type of injury. Rusty is going to send you a bouquet of healing vines.

You are so right about the weather patterns. It is not good to have it this warm. Nothing is the way it should be this winter. Our lakes are still not frozen enough to go out on (although some crazy ice fishermen have put their fishing huts out on the ice).

Good luck with Leo's diet. But remind your Dad that the calories have to be reduced very gradually to avoid serious problems (like hepatic lipidosis, which can be caused by "aggressive" weight-loss diets). It's probably good that Leo is spending time outside catching and eating mice!! The best diet is fresh mouse!

We'll be thinking of you tomorrow. I hope your flight out is not too uncomfortable.

Virtual hugs,

Ella & Rusty

Well, I hope Leo's numbers make you fell better. I'm glad you get to go home and have it checked out. One thing that helps me is to lay completly flat on my back, no pillow. It really helps relax the shoulders.

I hope the trip home is a n easy one.
