Yesterday's condo

I guess it had to happen...Gabby bounced. This is probably the longest she's gone without this kind of big bounce. And it's all Libby's fault.

Nope, not allowed to say that.

Despite the red ink, Gabby was her cuddly self this morning. She was purring for her shot, ate treats and breakfast, and is now deciding on how she wants to spend the rest of her day.

Can you do something about these Reds, Miss Gabby? Shadow is waiting for you on a different color...
please don't tempt him to join you...it'd be better if you met him on the lower level, k?

Gabby, no dramatic drops - a slow decline, a slow drop...no suddenness, all right? Yellow is good, and blue is better...

Thanks everyone. And yes, this is a slow and, so far, steady decline. I guess I'd rather this pace than the usual "drop like a rock" scenario which insures yet another rebound. And yes, CF is the person to remind me of the positive side -- there have been a couple of back-to-back days of good, if not great, numbers. Clearly, Gabby's liver is a slow learner.

Gabby sometimes amazes me. I finally throw my body in the shower, I'm soaking wet with shampoo in my hair, and there's a cat sitting on the commode yelling at me. I'm a well trained bean so I tested (and fed) -- after I got the soap off. I guess there's no question whether Gabby knows how to feed herself if there's food around. Otherwise, she sure knows how to get my attention!!

I think our cats are in cahoots together. Mocha will go off yelling and howling and running around like mad making me think she's extremely low. When I test her, she's always still super high.

sigh, I guess this is another condo I'm banned from. I jinxed Luna too many times and had to quit posting there for a while too. :razz:

At least we know that Gabby knows how to get back out of high numbers as easily as she gets into them.

I'd never ban you. I value your input far too much! I do think that appropriate tribute, or at least an anti-jinx, needs to be paid to the liver gods whenever we put them in the position of saying, "Oh yeah? Watch this!"

Hoping for some nice bloos for Gabby and Chloe tonight. Enough with the reds and stinkus pinkuses!!! (Perhaps we should ask that they get better teachers in LTS???)

There's lots on the positive side, you know. She's healthy, purry, snuggly, playful, eating well, putting her little brother in his place ... yup, lots of positives, even a healthy (albeit slow-learner!) liver, to be thankful for :mrgreen:

Unquestionably, there is a great deal to be thankful for. She's a kitty who makes me smile! And while she may have a very stubborn liver, I have seen progress. While Gabby may bounce, she is clearing those bounces quickly and there are no ketones and she's typically below renal threshold. I've seen continuing progress in her behavior. Today she was waiting for me by the front door -- I've not seen that in a long while and she was running, again something that would rarely occur (she tends to saunter vs. run). Every time she has several hours in the blues and greens, her coat is like silk. The latter seems to be a signal that something good is happening on the BG front. So yes, I see all of those changes and they make me smile.
