You've shot full dose with a 166 before. This isn't a lot lower. Can you monitor this cycle? Note, I can't stay with, it's way past my bedtime. One option is to wait 15-20 minutes and test again to see if he's coming up.

I can’t be home the whole cycle but I can be home till +6

I tested again and he is 5.4 I’m not giving a shot

Did he eat? Numbers can continue to drop without food. He also is a late nadir cat, so he nadirs at the end of the cycle (or a little after) when he is clearing a bounce.
If you have fed him, get another test and see where he is at. He might go sky high without insulin.

So you can monitor for another 5 hours? If yes, I would give the full dose. He might have a cycle similar to 12/21 where he was lower initially but zoomed up later.

I understand, but you have the means to keep him safe by testing and feeding. Would you be more comfortable with a token dose of 1U? Although, even with a token dose, the higher depot will continue to affect the first part of the cycle.

so he’s one hour and a half past his regular dose, so should I still give him the one unit?

Actually, it’s gonna be more like one hour and 45 minutes past his regular dose

I just tested him now +8 and he’s 27.7 and I’ve got to go out is this really bad
