All good here today. Yard patrol completed, ending with what looked suspiciously like a happy crap dash. Inspector Crapdash will investigate during daylight. :lol: :lol: Appy is good. No picnic this morning, probably because other business was more important. I brought the bowl inside so the food wouldn't freeze. We did not give him zantac last night or this morning. He bit into a zantac the other night and didn't like the taste so has been leery of the zantac-laced pill pocket every since. So we're taking a break to give him a chance to forget that incident. :lol: :lol: Zener abuse continues. I sat on him! Poor guy. I came into my dark office to turn on the computer and sat in my black chair, luckily, just on the edge. I kept thinking that my jacket was awfully lumpy... Well that "jacket" was Zener. Yikes! He never gets in this chair. Crazy cat. He's fine and seems to have forgiven me once again. :roll: :cool: I hope he forgives after going to the vet today. We're concerned about extra drinking so doing some tests, especially for hyper-T and kidney disease. Paws crossed.

Welcome home, Melissa! Healing energy to Fitzel and Shai. Does anyone know of a good vet in the San Fernando Valley? Shai needs one. Thinking of kitties who haven't posted in a while, like punkin & julie, Weezer & Linda, Bailey & Melissa. Happy Tuesday LL!

:lol: I'm sure, too, all is forgiven. Did he even let out a meowl....to let you know! :lol: How neat with the Happy CrapDash! Sending many good Vetty vines for today's visit. It is always a worry when they start their senior years and we notice something is off with them. Have a nice day.

Sending Zener good vetty vines this morning. Crazy cat didn't even meow when you sat on him. I hate it when I do something like that. At least our kitties are so loving they forgive us right away.

Hope the vetty report come out clean. I noticed my cats are drinking more with the heater on at home. Maybe the air is too dry?
Tell me about Zener sitting on your chair! They love to sit on the chair whenever you stand up! Nice kitty! :lol:

oh no! Zener abuse! I cannot count the number of times I have sat on a cat... Mannie included. always when they are somewhere they don't normally lay.... Mine too never said a thing - just gave me that glare - out of my seat human!

I can so relate to the pill pocket laced with meds... I think that is why, well part of the reason, Mannie is so apprehensive about those pill pockets now, and fuds in general... He knew I was putting things in there, no doubt after biting into something that was not fuds! :lol: :roll: I hope Z-Man forgets... Right Zener?

Very nice start for Zener today - surf well little one - a nice green surf.

Morning guys nice start to the day! Too funny on sitting on Zener glad you are forgiven. I actually PM'ed Shai last night since she is close to me and am giving her my vet info! :-D

Sending good vetty vines to Zener, and what a great day he's having! Maybe you should sit on him more often! :lol: I haven't sat on a cat too many times, but I've sure stepped on Shnookie in the dark more times than I can count. These poor black cats live extra risky lives, don't they? ;-)

We are back from the vet. Zener was very good, as always. They are doing a senior panel and he got his anal glands expressed. Results should be back tomorrow. The vet thought it might be a kidney infection.

Paws crossed nervously here for the vetty B/W results. I hope it's something easy to treat. He's got lovely numbers again today, so that part of the B/W will be stellar again. Pass on some extra scritches from us for the anal gland ouchies.

Black cats - for some reason, like to sleep in black chairs. The black cat I grew up with loved our black leather chair and was constantly sat on. If it's not a jacket, it's a pillow. :lol:

Thanks to all for visiting today, your support is so wonderful as we are a little nervous about what is going on. :YMHUG:

As Liz wrote, Zener was a sweetheart at the vet and let them poke, prod and get all up his business without giving anyone a lick of trouble. He is feeling good this evening, with happy appy and outdoor rounds. The only thing the vet said was that when they got a urine sample it looked a little dilute. He had no fever and had gained a few ounces since his last visit. She should get all the results tomorrow and suspects a kidney infection as his kidney values were so good just a few months ago. So paws crossed it is something easily treatable. We will post the results tomorrow when we hear from the vet.

Great number after a vetty visit Zen Man!!! Hope all tests will be OK & he will be feeling well,
Except for the almost Squish!!! You have no idea how many times Moonie shows up right under my feet & I have almost really hurt her!!! She never says a word, just looks at me like WAAAAAA???
I think they automatically forgive us~~~~~ or they are Oblivious & just expect it sometimes :lol: :lol: :lol:
After all we are up here^ and they are down there!--- ;-)
Guess he is just sweet & lets it go!
Hope he will be just fine..and he gained a few ounces!!!(Zen send some to Miss Moonie could you?)

You know, I tried telling Shasta how wonderful Zener was at the vet and she just laughed at me. Oh well, I tried! Glad your boy was well behaved! and saying prayers that results come back with good news.

I actually laughed out loud on the Zener abuse. Sorry, Zener...didn't mean to laugh at your pain, but you're such a sweetie...you didn't even meow. ;-) Hope you guys have a good evening!
