Sid was very perky this morning. He was 339 despite not having insulin yesterday, but I did give him .5 this morning. This is a dosecrease due to the 25 level yesterday am.
How much do the fluids typically bring a cat down? From last night to this morning, he went from Hi to 339 with no insulin. He was eating last night too because I wanted to make sure he got some food in to hopefully avoid ketones. So a drop of almost 300 points? Can that be due just to the fluids. That is pretty big.
At one point last night he actually got on the bed and laid down (which he almost never does) and I knew if I got in bed it would disturb him so I slept on the couch  When I went in to check him this morning, he was still on the bed but in a different spot.
Thank you very much to Rocket's mom for giving me the advice about the binder. He got some with a meal yesterday and in a meal this morning. I will also give him some laxative this morning. Is miralax ok for a diabetic? I have another brand that I have to check the ingredients on to make sure there is no sugar derivatives.
