Sorry for our absences. Life here has been Suzi-fied and egads is she a time suck! Lovely girl. Sweet. Eager to please. But lacking in house manners, car manners. Lots of intermittent training repitition. But kudos to the girl. She's learned sit. She's doing just an occasional demand bark when food's involved. She'll do a stay, until I turn my back! She's got the "come" command in the bag. So she's getting there. And seems so much more at ease knowing what our expectations are. It all takes so much time, though. Would be easier if she were a hearing dog. Will gets his one on one "best dog" time, too. I am so proud of how wonderful he's been.
Abdominal x-rays tomorrow for MsSuzi, a consult about her allergies...OMG, she's allergic to everything! But she's so deserving of the pampering and attention and care.
Fuzzy's placement was at the Angels' Overlook pet cemetery at the Sanctuary yesterday. Beautiful crisp, snow covered day. Will and I did a walk about at the nearby labyrinth in honor of the little boy. Many of Fuzzy's friends were there and the boy was placed with love, laughter, and lots of tears. Fitting.
Cats sense the new dog's "goodness." Sharing the couch, sharing the bed. I still separate them when I leave the house. A precaution.
But this is a Polly condo. And she's really throwing some nice sustained numbers. I'm remembering the late nights of testing from the way-back machine when I was first adjusting to the sugar dance. She's feeling fine, all P's in place. Back to hauling her butt up to the top of the bedroom cat tree, back to sunning in the office window hammock. It's been a while since she's holed up in the bathroom cabinet and even longer since she's found refuge on the totes in my closet. No heel clicking nor singing from the rooftop yet, but I am encouraged. A little less weight on my shoulders feels good!
Even when we're not here, our thoughts are. Hopscotching through condos a bit tonight. More catch up tomorrow. But know we always send
Vines and wishes.

Especially some good vetty appointments for her allergies. Our shelter had a cute little white thing that was a cute little pink thing with white hair until the new adopter found that he could eat raw ostrich - and that was about it.
