I went back to bed from 9:30 to 11.

We picked up his food at 6AM shot at 8. He's eaten more food than normal between then and +3 so maybe you guys are right. Wonder if we'll get higher daytime numbers instead of preshot numbers though. So how do I make sure he eats enough then I normally keep food available to him 100%. Do I try and tempt him to eat up until +9 or what do you guys do? Small mini meals don't work for Maverick. If he doesn't want to eat he doesn't. But I'll do my best.

Hi Michelle,
You and I did the same thig morning at about the same time. I have problems with meals with Maggie, too. I try and do the same as you in the morning. She gets her shot at 6 am, so I withhold food from 4 am to 6 am. Maggie eats small meals, so I'm lucky. Let's see what others say about it. I hope Maverick continues with good numbers.

HOORAY FOR BTB!

no advice on the feeding...binks has flavor preferences...but he'll eat anytime it's available...

Hi, Karrie and Maverick! Awesome AM #! I dunno what to tell you about meals with Maverick.. I can tell you that I offer Baby food about every hour (when I am home) & if she eats, she eats.. if she doesn't it goes back in the refrigerator (she eats Raw so it cannot sit out) when I am at work during the day.. I leave out wet food & icepacks under a plate of Raw for her.. we tried the timed feeder back when she was first diagnosed & that did not work for us. I don't really get hung up on making sure she eats at +1, +2, etc. because I know for life I cannot keep that schedule up with work, etc.. I just let her eat when she is hungry & make sure to feed about a 1/4 of food at a time so I do not overwhelm her pancreas.

I thought I'd see an immediate drop without feeding him in the two hours before preshot readings. Guess he had something else in mind.

No predicting these furbabies. They keep us guessing! Nice numbers anyway though!

Nice day for Maverick. Tuffy free feeds now. I tried to make sure she did not eat within 2 hours of testing but sometimes difficult with timed feeder and I was at work.

Nice numbers for Maverick.

I wish you luck with the feeding schedule. Mannie's a mini meal eater - I have no problem getting him to eat when I ask him too. I could never really make that work when I was working, no time at home - timed feeders were a hit and amiss then, I know how tough it can be to try and schedule things when they aren't interested. I could never free feed either - the others always ate all his food. what a pain that was. I wish you luck!
