Yesterday was...... BLUE DAY in MannieLand. Rumor has it that the Blue Mannie Group was performing live on Oliver's fishing dock, Maggie's sunny CA beach, and at the treehouse in the remote regions of the forest of the PNW...... Way to go guys! What a great day for Mannie. Two blue days in a row! In fact almost a repeat of the day before: pinks to start with a nice slide into the blue grotto. It was great to have him have a blue day: a nice steady blue surf. We hope for a great day today - lots of Blue for the Blue Mannie Group. Lubs ya big guy! cat_pet_icon
Yesterday was also BP recheck day... which was kinda a bust... from yesterday's condo: CARDIO/BP results: well we made it there and back.... The BP test was, in the cardio vets opinion, an invalid read. Mannie was so agitated, and squirmy and so not wanting that little white band on his leg that he was far from relaxed and the readings were way off the charts - like 240.   ;-) so..... we will repeat this check in a couple of weeks, and if need be mildly "sedate" him so that they get a more relaxed reading, factoring in the effect of the sedation. Today's test, in his opinion, was not reliable. So it goes I hear in the world of BP testing... and this was after I had stayed with him for 15 minutes got him in a nice relaxed state. The minute he saw the two lab techs and that machine and the BP band and the gel it was all over.  aiyeee! in regards to the other questions: plavix and possible nausea: he feels that we need to know first if Mannie is dealing with a UTI, and once that is under treatment, after a week or so, if the nausea still persists then we can change meds. If his labs reveal no UTI we will change sooner. so for now: lab results first, consult, followed by possible meds adjustment, BP test again in a few weeks. Meds will stay as is for now. HOPEFULLY labs will be back today.
All is well in MannieLand.
He is so done with vetty's. so done! He was so happy be home. I let him out of the carrier and he does the usual house patrol, and once he was satisfied that all was as it should be he settled on his nanners for a long relaxation period. later I found him asleep in his bed, glad I am sure to be there. He seemed more his normal self yesterday, more the Mannie I know: alert, just doing normal Nannie things. I will be glad when this whole vetty stuff is resolved, we have the labs back and a definitive decision on the heart meds, and can get on with Mannie living. LOL: I vacuumed yesterday too. I was good: respected the nanner pile boundary and did not disturb the nanner king while he was holding court. He did however keep one eye on me - making sure I didn't breach the boundary...  This morning we had a great test, feed (for amps at least, so far) and shoot and clean plate club (with encouragement), purrs and lots of cuddles. Normalcy, sort of, in MannieLand.
Have a great day everyone. I have dentist appt at noon, then coffee with my friend in Seattle. It will be so good to get out, even if it is the dentist. Looking forward however to seeing my friend, WOO HOO! coffee in the big city!
Hey everybody! WOOT! What a day yesterday! And I am SO DONE WITH VETTYS! no more for me, no-sir-ree! Hey you guys wanna go to the fish market in seattle today? They have such funs there - tossing the fishies, singing, carrying on. I bet we could catch a few of them fishies... We could bring back our catches to the treehouse and grill and stuff. what do you think? Anybody got anything they wanna do? let me know - I am ready for anything, as long as it doesn't have the word vetty in it! ~ Mannie
