KT's sittin up there wearing his big pink toad suit again but not by much. I charted the 4 days of curve on this dose and indeed the curve looks better even tho' it's still up there in the clouds. Starting tomorrow, I'm going to add a drop at a time (hold for 3 days) rather than going back up a full .25 to see if we can bring down the numbers without that dive.
NOW, 'Saving Jay'...
I took puppies out for last potty about 10pm, there sitting on top of my fence post was Spike, the 'front yard' tabby. He doesn't usually go back there as he knows that is Scruffy's yard and they're supposed to get along with each other. Hummm....told him to get off the fence and back where he was supposed to be. He ALWAYS just scoots right down on the mower shed and away he goes....not last night, I had to poke him to make him go. After coming inside, I thought about it more and realized something just wasn't right out there so back out I go. Spike's back on top of the privacy fence peering down. Nothing on the ground, I look for another cat, nothing.....then I look at the fence. Sitting on the second rail balancing was a fully grown Blue Jay. It was about 38 degrees - he was in a cold stupor. No idea why he was out of his nest, especially not a fully grown one. What do I do? OK, a box....no, that isn't going to work well because of the flaps. Then I spot it....a little styrofoam 6-pack cooler! Hoping he's still on the fence and Spike hasn't gotten him, I hurry thru the house, DH stares at me like I'm crazy. Sure enough he's still there. I was able to walk all the way up to him and slowly place the cooler over him. He had to jump and thump his head a couple of times when he jumped off the fence and into the cooler but I still had it sideways, he couldn't do much damage to himself. I got the lid on and slowly took him to a safe area where cat's don't go - inside the dog's pen (no dogs at night). Laid the cooler on it's side in the dark, slowly removed the lid and left him. The cooler would warm him enough to let him fly away. This morning, no Jay and no feathers! It was an amazing experience!
BIG hugs to all today!!! Notice something small today....God's gifts are everywhere!
