Ollie is already hitting greens on 3rd dose of reducie. Hmmmm what can this mean???? I need to be on my game here.

Lately she's been super hungry after AM shot, climbing my leg for food. She will stay blue during day, but hit those lemons for PM shot which I think is from all the food not a bounce, then she hits green overnight and blue in the morning. She isn't super hungry at night so maybe it's because of less food.

We had couple of inches of snow overnight, and it's now snowing heavily.

Makes sense that she's higher before PM shot because of the food and less insulin!
I'm sure you never thought little Olive could go green after many reducies and on a dose in the 4 units ! So happy for you Paula! :bighug:

Makes me wonder when the s**t is going to hit the fan. What are we in for next???? Never entertained the idea of insulin being this low after all this time with multiple issues.
 
Your question from yesterday, do you mean do a reduction if a green preshot? I had no issues shooting full dose on green, regardless of dose size. If you mean what to do following a reduction, again, I only BCs’ed a couple times ever. And that was following 20’s when the depot really needed draining. But I think Neko was a bit bouncier than Olive.

The majority of Neko’s FD journey, she was on less that 3 units. Partly why I hate the phrase “high dose” conditions. That plus I just saw a paper from Royal Veterinary Clinic doing some study, and they had a table with facts and figures of their acros, two thirds of the acros were on 5 units or less.:eek:

I don't have a problem if preshot is high green or if I will be home. I guess it depends on few things now, will have to play by ear.
 
Been doing a bit of reading lately. Found one on a kitty that had SRT twice, done by a Japanese radiation oncologist, and eventually passed from small cell lymphoma. Eerily familiar, but that cat was male. And went OTJ after each SRT.
