hoping this amps is a bounce and not a signal punkin needs an increase. last night his pmps was 220, and he hit 160 yesterday afternoon, so i'm going to hold and hope he comes down.

acupuncture went well yesterday - he knows what to expect now and is fine with it. interesting, two of the needles gave an unusual amount of resistance when the vet went to remove them, then the needle itself was sort of fried-looking when it did come out. he said those needles were in the energy spots connected to the spleen, and that resistance meant there was a lot of energy there, which is good. the spleen is part of the endocrine system. there is such an improvement in his mobility, but still, no cuddles. thinking perhaps we should try something different for pain or give him some bupe again. i have a little bit of it left.

i'll try to get a photo of the quilt today and post it in the Loose Lips. my daughter doesn't want me to take a pic with her in it because she's picked at a zit and feels like a unicorn! ;-) so glad i'm not 19 anymore!!!!

That's very interesting about the fried acupuncture needles. I glad to hear of his improved mobility and hope cuddles are right around the corner. I also hope DD doesn't read Punkin's condo. Your zit report may have her picking at you until you feel like a unicorn!  It's been a very long while, but I remember the the mortification of being 19.

How interesting on the acupuncture. I am so glad it is helping Mr Punkin. Too bad on the no cuddles though

Have a great Caturday Julie!

YAY on the acupuncture! I am so glad that it is helping Punkin! oh wow on the fried needles - I had no clue that they could do that. so so interesting! Nice on the mobility, and I bet the cuddles are next.

Yellow today Punkin? Maybe a resting day for you before you get back down to those blues and greens?

Enjoy your day today. I look forward to seeing the quilt.

Very interesting on the acupuncture. My friend who is going through chemo now does acupuncture weekly and has had some similar experiences with needles going in very deep and coming out a bit fried. Her practitioner told her the needles were doing their job. She is getting lots of pain relief from her treatments. Hoping that Punkin allows cuddling again soon.

Glad that punkin is getting good results with the acupuncture. Having lots of spleen energy in an indication of good immune system function, go punkin!

Keep coming down Punkin!!!

Cool on the quilt. I am so glad I can chocolate and not have to worry about acne. Or is that a myth they debunked AFTER we were acne age?

Julie, that's very interesting about the needles. I'm glad it's helping Punkin.
My daughter's cat had acupunture also, and she came from treatments feeling like a kitten. It helped tremendously with a constipation/motility, problem.

Aww poor DD, I can almost remember back that far, and the teen angst. :-D

Re: 1/7 punkin amps 292 +3/237

Go punkin, heading in the right direction, now how about just a little cuddle for Julie - that's how you pay the rent you know!

Hey Julie, you asked about Blue's arthritis meds on our condo so I am answering you here. He takes glucosamine/chondroitin/MSM every day, and we use tramadol and Rimadyl (a doggie NSAID) on alternating days... although we ended up using both today! The Rimadyl works the best but is hard on the tummy and the kidneys so we don't like using it every day. I guess we will do what we have to do as he progresses though  Hmmm, maybe we ought to look into acupuncture too...

I hope you get some punkin cuddles soon! My Harley does not like to be touched very often and I tend to ambush her with some ninja-style cuddling every so often - as Vyktor's Mum said, she has to pay the rent!

Henry isn't a cuddler, either, so I call them "mandatory lovees." He tolerates about 30 seconds, then he starts to squirm and whine. BTW, Henry is my other cat, not my husband.

I've seen amazing results with acupuncture on animals, so I'm not surprised it's helping Punkin, too. I wonder if needling the solar plexus on Punkin (mid-back) would help with his ability to express affection. That's the center for human/cat communication and interaction in the chakra system, which many acupuncturists incorporate. Might be worth consideration, in addition to the pain management.

See you tomorrow, Julie!
