Testing is going to be pretty much limited to preshots for the next few days since those will be the only ones daddy will be home to help with. Now why you may ask after 3 years do I need a second set of hands to test? Well because yesterday afternoon I fell while DH and I were running errands on an icy parking lot. Didn't think much about at the time until we'd been home several hours. So by the time I got done making dinner I could barely stand. Anyhow long story short....after trip to ER I have a broken tail bone, bruised hip and a sprained back. I'm not allowed to lift anything heavier than 5lbs (about the only members of the Fur Gang that's small enough for mom to pick up atm are Mariposa and Arabella...lol) for the next week and no bending or twisting the back. I'm allowed to either sit or lay down. Although at the moment sitting hurts, standing hurts and laying down hurts. If I don't take the pain meds and muscle relaxers it hurts to move if I take them I'm worthless and unconscious.

So today the critters are taking care of momma instead of the other way around.

What a bummer. Sure do hope you get back to normal soon. Broken tail bone sounds very painful. I sure will be glad when winter is gone. This winter has been brutal.

Oh no.... Mel, ouchies!!!!

Well, take care of yourself and I wish you good healing. I have sciatica on my right side so it has been difficult to lean over for testing so here I was home for two weeks and unable to get mid-cycle tests or even a full curve like I wanted. I can just stand to do pre-shots right now. Glad you have DH to help. Just think, you will have all those kitties to climb on you and keep you warm as you rest.

Now Autumn and Casey need to let you rest too!

I dont know if you meat that pun, but I groaned out loud when I read it. Yes, a broken tail bone is indeed a bummer, literally.

Mel, I feel so bad for you. I bet you feel even worse today, the second day is always the worse. Sending healing wishes to you!

OMG Been there! Broke mine in 2000, at the RDU airport 30 mins before flying out, was 5 days before I could get home and get medical. Had to get my mom to a funeral. Doc asked how I handled it and I told him 'Hands full of advil and lots of booze". I sat on a butt pillow for a year. Might have to get you one of those donut pillows, they really help. Have had to go back to using it, I have no butt anymore. Had to get one for the truck too.

Kitties looking good, they'll survive the week while you rest. ;-)

Aww, Mel... that is the worst, just the worst! Sounds so, so painful. Sending healing thoughts your way for sure. I had a friend a few years ago that slipped on the ice and broke her tailbone too. No fun! They gave her a little donut pillow to sit on.
