Nice yesterday

Yesterday morning was a lovely curling practice with the green team. :mrgreen: Zener made a brief visit to the yellow team last night but ended up on blue this morning. He is a friendly fellow and likes to encourage all of the members of the LantusLand Sliders Curling Club. :-D :-D Appy was ok this morning, he ate enough for a shot. Helpfully the cypro will kick in shortly. He's not so keen on the cosequin mixed in with his food, so fussy. :-x :lol: So we're going to try half a capsule in a bowl (about 1/2 ounce of food) and see if we can sneak it past him. He does try so hard to do everything we ask of him. :-D

OT: This bean is feeling MUCH better this morning! Anne talked to the pharmacist who suggested drinking water constantly (to flush the throat and also to stay hydrated) and taking double doses of vitamin c and zinc to boost the immune system (cut back as soon as you feel better). She also got stronger cough medecine and stronger mucinex. I slept much better last night too, which always helps to feel better. I was even asleep when the alarm went off. Yay!

Thinking of ailing kitties and beans, Jamie's Jupiter, Mariko's Lucy, Suzzane's DB Matty. Congrats to Errol - OTJ today! And paws crossed for Sassy's trial. Happy Monday, LL!

I'm glad you're feeling better and hope you can nip that flu in the bud once and for all!

J.D. didn't like the Cosequin in his food, and Ginger would eat it up for him :roll:
We're using Adequan as it is injectable, and I know he gets his meds that way.

Nice blue start for Zener today. Great greens yesterday too. Hope the appy kicks in better. GREAT news on the beans. Sleep will definitely help. Thank you so much for the good thoughts on our friends. I really appreciate it! :YMHUG:

WOOT! Zener you are looking good this morning. Off to the lagoon for you today? Very cool on the LantusLand Sliders Curling Club. Lola say she doesn't know the colors very well, but thinks she would be a green team member. she hopes she can play too. She likes to slap things around alot, and run 24/7.

Good luck with the cosequin. Mannie hated having tings mixed in his fuds, what a pain! He always knew when it was there too. Darn cat! The only way thing he would eat with meds was baby food. Be good Zener - take your meds!

I am glad that you are both feeling better. I am a firm believer in that water thing. As much as you can handle. It really does help flush things out, get you back into feeling better. At least it works for me. I tried the mucinex thing too, but really didn't like the stuff. it worked ok, but made me feel odd, out of sorts. so... back to the water, vit c. I hope that the mucinex works for you both.

LOL! The kitty curling thing just cracks me up. I can just picture kitties sitting on top of the stones zipping down the lane. Too funny. Glad you're feeling better. You guys have an all out arsenal on the crud at this point! Hope Z-man heads for the lagoon. He knows the way....

Hi Liz, So glad you and Anne are feeling better. Keep up the good work. If you drink lots and lots of water, be sure to drink Gatorade or a similar sports drink, too. It contains the essential electrolytes. Too much water by itself wreaks havoc on the body's electrolyte balance. Edward found this out once and never made that mistake again!

I hope you can sneak that cosequin in ;-) I was lucky, when I started giving it to Chyna years ago she was on the evil dry food, so she got it mixed in a tablespoon of wet food once a day (whiskas pouches, which she looooved) so she'd slurp it all up and cry for more...in retrospect I feel bad, she was telling me how good wet food was for her! :? Sweet Zener, to try so hard to please his beans! Give him some scritches for me :-D I'm glad he's enjoying his curling team. Too bad Chyna can't join yet :roll:

hmm... still waiting on our cosequin order... hadn't thought about outright rejection tho' Shadow didn't care for the dasuquin. (probably an indicator for us)

Wonder if I can get a better reception if I mix it with our new best treat....http://www.freshisbest.com/natural-pet-food/pet-treats-chews/turkey-giblet-rounds-freeze-dried.html It crumbles so nicely on food and rehydrates well too.

I can send you a sample of turkey or chicken to see if Zener would like it that way too. I just tried the chicken and so far Shadow still doesn't care for chicken. She's
a turkey.... that's for sure.... ;-)

I know we haven't been around much recently, but has Zener been nominated as Captain of the Curling team? If not, I would like to nominate! Zener, come on down, sir. Glad your appy is good(ish). Now, time for you to get use to the Cosequin. It's not so bad. Promise! :?

Glad to hear that you all are feeling better. Drink more water! That's what I tell my students all the time...water good...flush the gunk!

Hi Anne, Liz and Zener,

All three of you are a great support to the kitties and beans on this board - Zener does the rounds of all the colour clubs to provide support for the kitties and you two do the rounds of the condos. Zener - it's lovely of you to be so supportive but much better to stick to the blue and green teams!

I hope you get over your flus soon.
