Step away from the stinky pink, Yoyo!

I hope she slides down nicely today.

I hope Yoyo heads back down and surfs today.
I just figured something out that I want to share with you and @Rosie & Bailey ....... About 3 weeks ago when I put a question out there regarding which syringes are better to use, I started to pay real close attention to the ZERO LINE MARKINGS on the syringes that I am using for Yoyo. I started to throw out all the syringes that go above the zero line. Out of a package of 10 BD syringes I am only finding aprox 4 GOOD SYRINGES that stop at the zero line. So what I am saying is that I NOW realize why Yoyo is not dropping as low as he used to. When I was giving him .5 Units sometimes I am sure that he was getting .75 Units instead because I wasn't paying close attention to the zero line and where the top ringer of the plunger stopped. So now, that I am consistant about checking each syringe before I fill it with insulin, Yoyo is getting hopefully his exact dosage of .25 units. And to me- this is why Yoyo seems to be having a harder time reaching those lower blue/green numbers. I wish I had been more careful from the start, but it was all so new to me. I had to learn the hard way.

You are probably right. The consistency is important, but you can't be consistent if you rely on the syringes themselves. I really think it makes all the difference in the world. I too wish I had known sooner. I only found out because I stumbled across a conversation on another thread.

Definitely don't feel bad since we are all learning the hard way. You are doing an amazing job so far! The most important thing you do is ask a lot of questions. That's how you learn, and when you ask a lot of questions, it makes people feel comfortable sharing what they know.
